Beautiful boutique-feeling ryokan with really wonderful staff. We celebrated two birthdays and I was able to coordinate the delicious cakes over email. They even helped us take a photo and printed it out so we all had a little souvenir <3 So thoughtful! The rooms and building were lovely, as was the outdoor onsen. We did the private onsen experience too which was a little extra, but worth it especially to spend time with a partner. Food was tasty and yukatas were very pretty. Felt like a little dream.

We loved the in suite onsen. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Loved how the outdoor hot spring allows people with tattoos. Monkey park shuttle was a huge help, leaving at 9:30 AM and returning at noon.

I wish I spent a lot more nights in this hotel and area. I like everything: the staff, the room, the food, and the onsen. The kaiseki-style dinner was the best. The staff never stopped smiling and was so lovely. The view from our room (406) was stunning. They have a service to pick up and drop us off at the Yudanaka Station and also a one-way drop to the Snow Monkey Park. The indoor onsen is too hot for me, but the outdoor onsen is just perfect! and It was almost empty, feel like I had a private onsen even though the hotel is pretty busy. Onsen while watching snowdrops is a one-of-a-kind experience.

Everything!! The room was stunning with its private onsen where we could customize the water temperature while enjoying breathtaking panoramic views. The staff went above and beyond with their exceptional kindness and attentiveness. A special mention goes to the onsen lady! It was a pleasure communicating with her despite language barriers. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious and generously portioned. This experience truly represents everything we love most about Japan. A perfect stay! ありがとうございました！GRAZIE!

The staff were all very polite and professional. From promptly answering my numerous queries prior to my arrival to going out of their way to provide the best service during our stay, my family and I felt very welcomed. The hotel’s location is just beside Ryuoo Ski Park. They cater shuttle buses to and fro Iiyama as well, which we utilised. Will definitely recommend this hotel!

We pre-booked breakfast, which was mostly Japanese style buffet, although a small selection of croissant and cereal available. Pre-booked dinner was Fabulous! Hotpot & DIY BBQ style meat with soups and veggies each night. Different variations for each of the 3 nights we were there. Definitely recommend pre-booking meals as nowhere close/easy to go. Staff - AMAZING. Even with small amount of English - very easy to communicate. Ski/clothing/gloves/helmet hire very easy to access in hotel but quite dated, although fine for 2-3 days of skiing. We had to buy lift tickets across the road at lift ticketing office, which was simple. Onsen absolutely fabulous. Beautiful shampoos/conditioner etc provided. Robes available in hallway shelves, along with help yourself green tea at any time. Bus stop 1 minute walk away. Great family hotel.
