The location was excellent. The hosteria is on a hillside, offering a beautiful mountain view across the town and the valley. At the same time the location is also central, only 10 minutes by foot from the main square and 12 minutes from the bus station (Terminal Terrestre). Our room was clean and comfortable, with two queen beds with four(!) soft pillows. The bathroom had hot water for showering. Normally the room is cleaned every day (they ask if you wish that they do). The breakfast was very good. It consisted of eggs, bread rolls, butter and marmalade with juice and coffee - which is what you normally get for breakfast in Ecuador. But the juice was different every day, the croissants were served warm (not every day, though) and the eggs were prepared in a different way. This is actually a big deal if you've been traveling for a long time. We had established a contact with the hosteria in WhatsApp before arrival and received all possible information regarding our stay in advance. Someone was around and available 24/7, opening the gate and supporting the clients with information about activities etc. We had our laundry done for a very small amount of money that was less than in public laundries. We did not speak Spanish, so were happy to find that the staff spoke varying levels of English. You get a great value for the money you pay.

Luna Volcán, Adventure SPA - formerly Luna Runtún, en Baños, ofrece alojamiento de 5 estrellas con jardín, restaurante y bar. The hotel location has a wonderful view, the gardens are beautiful and the hot water pools are a highlight!

El Hostal Monte Carmelo se encuentra en Baños y sirve un desayuno diario. Además, hay WiFi gratuita. Irena and Veronika, were very helpful and kind. Good Continental breakfast, warm water in the shower, comfortable bed, they offer activities and rent bycical, have cheap and good laundry services.

Posada J, que tiene jardín, está en Baños. Hay vistas a la montaña. En el hotel, las habitaciones incluyen un patio con vistas a la ciudad. Me gustó la ubicación, el personal que atiende es muy amable, además es cómodo y queda cerca del centro para ir caminando

El establecimiento Casa Real está situado a solo 100 metros de las aguas termales y de la cascada de la Virgen y ofrece aparcamiento gratuito y habitaciones cómodas con conexión WiFi gratuita. Luis is the best host! Super kind and very helpful. The hotel is in a great location. I stayed in one of the suites and the suites are beautiful, large and have all the amenities you could ask for. Favorite place i have stayed in Ecuador. I will return.

Refugio de la Virgen, que cuenta con salón de uso común, ofrece alojamiento en Baños con wifi gratis y vistas a la montaña. Esta casa o chalet tiene piscina privada, jardín y parking privado gratis. It was very spacious clean and comfortable. The beds were large and comfy with duvet and blankets if you were cold. Washing and drying facilities and plenty of showers and baths. The 2 separate ensuite rooms were a real extra bonus. There is a BBQ area and kids play area. Pool and jacuzzi were lovely. Large kitchen with plenty of dishes. A really great place. Very secure. Close to the town and tge spa with good restaurants nearby.
