There is a hiking path to the lake of Murten just underneath the hotel. 20 minutes drive to Papiliorama, if you want to be there early. The best is to be at Papiliorama as soon as it opens in the morning. The breakfast is delicious and the staff is very friendly and accommodating.

The location is a few metres to shops and restaurants. Christian was a warm and welcoming owner/host with NZ connections, which made us feel special. Can highly recommend.

Nice place where we felt completely at home, surrounded by beautiful decor, complimentary food, and all the little necessities you wouldn’t normally expect in a rental property — even a fondue pot was available! Pascal and his son were very friendly, gave us great advice on what to see in the area, and even showed us their chickens and let us feed them.
