Location and Transport
Located in Enfield, Nova Scotia, Halifax Stanfield International Airport is 21 miles (35 kilometres) north of central Halifax. A taxi takes around 40 minutes to reach Downtown, but may take longer if travelling at rush hour (16:30–18:00). Halifax Airport Taxi service provide transfers between the airport and most parts of Halifax for CAD 57.

The airport has an on-site hotel – ideal for early-morning flights – and three others are situated within 3 miles (5 kilometres). The airport itself features a variety of restaurants and shops, with one selling fresh lobster which can be taken onboard as a carry-on.
