Location and Transport
Vancouver International Airport is situated on Sea Island in Richmond, British Columbia. Downtown Vancouver is about 7 miles (12 kilometres) from the airport and can be reached in under 30 minutes via rail on the Canada Line. Taxis are available at stands located on level two of the arrivals area, and flat fares apply for journeys to specified zones in the city.
Nearby Hotels and Airport Facilities
A variety of hotels can be found close to the airport and many offer free airport shuttles. As airport facilities go, Vancouver International certainly has a few unorthodox options, such as a spa, an aquarium, and a dental centre in case you fancy a pre-flight filling.
Terminal Information
The airport is divided into the Main Terminal and the South Terminal, with a free shuttle service connecting the two. Passengers catching a connecting flight will need to pass through immigration – a passport, visa or ESTA may be necessary.
