This family-friendly hotel in the Marchwald Forest is 5 minutes from the A5 motorway and a 10-minute drive from Freiburg city centre. It was clean, beautiful and well-kept, just like in the photos.

A modern-looking lodging that is clean and comfortable. Our hosts are friendly and helpful. Although not located at the Old Town or train station, it has nice food and park nearby and public transit is easily accessible to Old Town. Grocery stores are within 20 min walking distance.

Was traveling with a friend and it was very convenient that we were able to get to this room at 0100 in the morning and be able to get they key very easily and get straight to bed after a long day. The room was great, and the location was awesome, only a 15 to 20 minute walk to everything in the heart of Freiburg.

Penthouse-Appartements am Güterbahnhof is situated in the Herdern district of Freiburg im Breisgau, 2.1 km from the old town. Colmar is 37 km from the property. The apartment is spacious, well equipped and has an associated parking spot. It was a perfect location for our group to stay close to the nearby conference and we highly recommend it. The owners were fast in replying to our messages and supporting us throughout the stay. We definitely recommend the place!

The place was warm, very clean, with a decently stocked kitchen, and well connected to the city center with just one tram line. The internet worked well, which was a big plus. The only inconvenient part was having to walk through a section of forest to get to the station, though it was well lit and safe. The host wasn’t the most responsive, but overall it was a good stay.

The **location** is ideal—just a short walk from the historic city center, making it easy to explore Freiburg’s charm on foot. Despite being close to the action, the hotel is nestled in a peaceful area, offering a perfect balance of convenience and tranquility. The **rooms** are spacious, spotlessly clean, and elegantly decorated. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and thoughtful touches like a well-stocked minibar and fast Wi-Fi made the stay even more enjoyable. The view from the window was simply breathtaking—a picture-perfect scene! Breakfast was a real highlight. The **buffet** featured a wide variety of fresh, locally-sourced options, providing the perfect start to the day. The restaurant staff were always courteous, attentive, and eager to ensure everything was just right. What truly set this hotel apart was the **staff**: professional, friendly, and always ready with helpful tips for exploring the city and nearby attractions. Their genuine dedication to making guests feel at home was evident throughout my stay. The **additional amenities**, such as a cozy spa and private parking, added a layer of convenience and luxury. It’s rare to find a hotel that strikes such a perfect balance between comfort, elegance, and outstanding service. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Freiburg. I’m already looking forward to my next stay!
