We had an amazing stay! The house was filled with Christmas atmosphere, which made everything feel so festive and cozy. It’s super new and comfortable, providing the perfect spot to relax. The best part was how private it was – we even had a snowball fight in the yard! The location is great too, with Santa Claus Village within walking distance and Rovaniemi airport nearby. Exceptional comfort, cleanliness and the staff were absolutely amazing. Extremely helpful and accommodating and made sure that our stay was as easy as possible. They created such a wonderful environment that we already started to plan going back. Food in the restaurant is also the best. I highly recommend this hotel!

Amazing nature.
Amazing nature. Too much ads about all the hassle activities. Just 15 min out from city there is amazing nature!
People were friendly welcoming and honest. Spoke good English. Restaurants clean and menus in English.
With taxi have to be very careful.

Have you ever been on an airplane where the whole flight CHEERS upon landing? Not from a terrifying flight where everyone is happy to land but out of sheer JOY and excitement. Welcome to the North Pole. I traveled solo and adored everything about Rovaniemi, the surrounding area and it's people and I'm making plans to return again with my children. I felt safe traveling as a single woman and found the residents of the little city to be kind and helpful. I flew in and then took the night sleeper train to Helsinki to fly home. That experience was also super fun. I felt like a child boarding the Christmas Express (remember that book?)

We loved feeding reindeer at the Santa Claus village and...
We loved feeding reindeer at the Santa Claus village and heating sausages on the outdoor fire, along with drinking hot chocolate! We loved the 2km husky sled rides too and the hiking trails in Vattunki Wilderness resort. Glow in the dark arctic mini golf was so fun too as was enjoying the views over the river in the snow. We also loved the Sushi buffet in Luckiefuns! We were sad to miss seeing inside the church though!

The town was very easy to get around and had plenty of options for activities. This trip was focused on the Santa themed activities, but I want to go back and spend more time in the nature areas. We made it to a few but only for short visits. I think I could spend hours walking and enjoying the natural surroundings there.

It’s a small town, better to use Uber for transportation...
It’s a small town, better to use Uber for transportation than local taxi, rent a car would be best.
Make arrangements for ready to eat foods as most food joints will close by 8 pm. Wilt app is good for serving food and groceries.
For northern lights hunting, better to book for guaranteed sighting with refundable options otherwise.
