9 October 2022
This is the oldest region of Corfu, located on the southern outskirts of the town near Mon Repos with its beautiful gardens that are open to the public free of charge. Kanoni (Mouse Island) is just 2km and a short bus ride, and where many enjoy viewing planes taking off and landing at the airport. The bus service passes nearby and it takes 10 minutes to travel into town at a cost of 1 euro, 70 cents. For those with good mobility, both the old and new towns are about a 30-minute walk along Garitsa Bay, or you can walk through the suburbs and visit the numerous small churches, shops and cafes along the way. Anemomylos is located near the bay with two small beaches, numerous cafes and restaurants nearby, most of which have garden areas located on the greens opposite. The atmosphere is cordial, good humoured and pleasant, with a mixture of local resident flats and apartments, many converted to holiday accomodation and there is one large hotel of high standard. This is an ideal location for those who enjoy the outdoors, walking, eating, drinking and relaxing with the locals.

4 June 2022
Arriving by ferry this house was ideal as it was close to the port so no worries about luggage etc.walking into Corfu town is possible though after leaving the street the house is on there is an uphill road which may be a challenge to some. Quiet neighborhood although planes can be heard (Corfu airport busy in the summer) but gone within seconds and no more noticeable than a motorbike passing the house. Supermarket nearby and fresh fruit and veg shop so if you’re staying a few days self catering is no problem. We only stayed one night so didn’t try the bar next door (Epic Bar) but there were guests there when we went to bed but they were respectfully quiet, no loud music or anything .

28 November 2020
The description of the villa was that it had wifi and was a good place to do work. The speed of the wifi was 1Mb, totally unsuitable for work. There was no heating available in the Villa despite it being cold at night. The TV box had been removed and thus the TV did not work. The box was returned the next day and we were given electric heaters but there was no central heating it having not been "joined up!" On the next day, we had a blackout at about 1500 in the afternoon initially we were told from the triggering of a switch in the villa but having found the electricity box no switch had been triggered. We were told it was because the village was blacked out but the villa next door had lights as did the village at the bottom of the hill. We were left for 4 hours without heat or lighting. When the engineers did eventually reach us and repair the electricity, as we were talking to them in the kitchen the electricity cut out again. Thus having an inadequate wifi, the experience of poor provision heating and a TV that had not worked, we were left at 2000 on the second night with absolutely no confidence in the electricity supply and thus decided to leave the Villa. We have requested a refund and will be pursuing this matters believe that the services that we contracted to receive and advertised in the brochure fell well short of what would reasonably be expected.

20 July 2023
Planespotting oportunity, Vlacherna monastery, Mouse iceland nearby. Much of beautifull views. There are several beaches, local shops, cafes, restaurants nearby. Better to travel by car (due to the heat and lack of sidewalks).

6.0 Corfu is a naturally beautiful island.
13 September 2025
Corfu is a naturally beautiful island. The scenery, beaches, hikes and local people are great. However, the number of tourists (including us) are a problem. Excess traffic (land and water), crowding and the resulting garbage would affect our ability to recommend a visit to others. There should be limitations placed on the number of visitors at any given time. Car and other vehicle rentals should be limited to locals. Visitors should take taxis or preferably buses only. Your beautiful island is at risk.

10 August 2023
A picturesque romantic village in the suburb of the main town, very close to the main roads to the town center, port, and all beaches. You can reach each part of the island very easily and fast from it. The Potamos is with lots of green, hills, the streets are narrow and curvaceous, some along the small river, with flowers, old-style buildings, stone houses, but also modern villas. However, there are also proper streets to park and go to the main roads. There are little supermarkets and big LIDL in the neighborhood. There are city buses to take you to the town center or different beaches (Glyfada, Pelakas, Dassia, Ipssos, etc.) for small money. Very beautiful, quiet, and romantic, but also very practical to go everywhere in the Corfu.
