Thessaloniki Airport is situated in the town of Mikra, just over 10 miles (16 kilometres) from the city centre. A 24/7 metered taxi service is available outside the terminal building, and journeys take about 30 minutes. A surcharge applies if travelling between midnight and 05:00.

A number of hotels are located just over a mile (2 kilometres) from the airport and offer shuttle services. Various restaurants are also available at the airport, as well as duty-free shops and free WiFi.
