Location and Transport
Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport is situated in Hansol, just under 6 miles (9 kilometres) from central Ahmedabad. Taxis can be booked at a counter in Terminal 1, and fares to the city start at around INR 350. The journey takes about ten minutes.
Nearby Hotels and Airport Facilities
A number of hotels can be found within 2 miles (3 kilometres) and some provide a shuttle service. A selection of places to eat and drink, including an ice-cream parlour, can be found inside the terminal. There’s also a child care room and a currency exchange service.
Terminal Information
Domestic flights operate from Terminal 1, while international and cargo flights are handled by Terminal 2. Terminal 3 is used during especially busy periods, such as during the annual Hajj pilgrimage.
