Stepping into the lobby was like stepping back in time. The 1920s-inspired interiors — rich Art Deco detailing, exquisite architecture, and carefully curated artwork — spoke of a bygone era of glamour and sophistication. Every corner reflected thought, taste, and sheer style, offering an immersive experience that felt both grand and intimate. The people of the Fairmont, however, made our stay truly unforgettable. From the driver and doorman to the front desk, concierge, spa team, and restaurant staff — every single person was at our beck and call, anticipating our needs before we even voiced them. Special thanks go to Executive Sous Chef Kaustubh Chavan and Sous Chef Vishal Shetty, who not only delighted us daily with their culinary artistry but also surprised us with a beautiful farewell cake at our last breakfast. Poolside, Sonny and Ankit took such great care of us, ensuring our moments of relaxation were nothing short of perfect. The dining was, in a word, spectacular. Across six live kitchens, the chefs showcased flavours from around the world, sourcing rare ingredients and presenting them with creativity and flair. Every meal felt like an event, every plate a masterpiece.

I recently stayed at the ICONIQA Hotel on a trip to Mumbai, simply because I wanted a change from my regular hotel. It turned out to be the best decision ever! The hotel is located just a stone’s throw away from the airport, making it extremely convenient to reach in just a few minutes. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was welcomed with genuine warmth, a friendly smile, and a soothing aroma that set the tone for my stay. Check-in was effortless and cheerful, and I was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a Superior Suite. The suite was spacious, tastefully designed, and exceptionally comfortable. The complimentary minibar was the cherry on top! I dined at the hotel for three meals, and each one was outstanding. The breakfast selection was especially impressive — creative, varied, and beautifully presented. It was refreshing to see something different from the usual hotel fare. During my stay, I had the pleasure of meeting Shibani, the General Manager, and Neha, the Learning & Development Manager. Their passion for hospitality was evident in every interaction and reflected in the overall warmth of the staff.

Ciudad totalmente loca con un ritmo impresionante de actividad. Iba con mis hijos/as (11, 12 y 15) y fue para ellos una experiencia muy interesante como primer contacto en la India. Realizamos 3 excursiones con Magic Tours Of India muy interesantes : Elephant Island, más clásica. Y dos muy originales : Local Mumbai con una guía, una estudiante, Anju, utilizando todos los medios de transporte y haciendo varias visitas (casa de Gandhi), y por otra parte Dharavi slum con un guía, un estudiante, Razak, que fue una experiencia fantastica para toda la familia.

Si nunca estuviste en una ciudad grande de India es interesante conocerla por acercarte al estilo de vida. La gente es muy amable. Para ir de vacaciones no creo que sea una ciudad bonita, es mas bien ruidosa, sucia.

Me pareció que tienen una labor enorme por delante para mejorar la ciudad y para poder acoger a turistas. Es una ciudad segura y la gente es buena pero tiene que mejorar mucho las infraestructuras y el aspecto general, abrir establecimientos de restauración apropiados, mejorar limpieza y hacer la ciudad más friendly para los visitantes. De hecho hay muy pocos turistas y creo que la ciudad tiene un potencial enorme si hicieran el esfuerzo por mejorar el aspecto de las cosas. La llegada al aeropuerto da muy mala impresión de la ciudad, ya que está en una zona con mucho chabolismo y el tráfico es infame. Menos mal que el hotel era excelente y el servicio impecable. El mejor que he estado en mi vida.
