Location and Transport
Calicut International Airport, also known as 'Kozhikode Airport', is located in Karipur, about 17 miles (28 kilometres) southeast of Kozhikode and 16 miles (25 kilometres) northwest of Malappuram. The fastest way to get there is by taxi. The ride to central Kozhikode takes around 40-50 minutes. You can find taxis waiting outside the terminal building.
Nearby Hotels and Airport Facilities
There is one hotel at Kozhikode Airport, and several others within a mile (2 kilometres). None offer a pick-up shuttle service. If you find yourself with time to spare before your flight, there’s plenty of duty-free shopping, as well as cafés and a mix of Indian and international restaurants. Other useful services include ATMs, currency exchange and luggage-wrapping.
Terminal Information
Kozhikode Airport has two terminals. Terminal 1 is for domestic flights and is the main hub of Air India. Terminal 2 is an international terminal, which mainly offers flights to the Persian Gulf. The terminals are next to each other and there is no shuttle service.
