The hotel and the staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and always ready to help, they truly made me feel at home with their smiles and caring attitude.
The hotel restaurant was delicious, the food wasn't too spicy, and for those who prefer mild dishes, there are great alternatives like pasta and more.
The room was clean and exactly as shown in the photos, fully furnished and comfortable.
It was a rich and heartwarming experience. I highly recommend this place, you can go with your eyes closed, you won't be disappointed! Namaste

If the purpose of your visit is to visit Mata Baglamuki temple, then you most probably will look for hotel near the area of temple but there is very little choice so don't go for the cheap option as they may deny service to you at their convenience and finding alternate hotel on short notice is near to impossible especially on special days.

Dharamsala have its own vibe green ,white mountain peaceful nature tibetan culture makes it more attractive.i think everyone should have visit here in heaven .many meditation centre yoga classes here,i visit also dharamkot but i feel boring there , dharamkot is not much better then mcleodganj i feel totally bouring there ,but mcleodganj is best place to stay ever i think. hotel grand hill is the best place for stay ,near the market ,with all facilty ,all staff is friendly and helpful there, i will recommend Hotel grand hill.

The place was super clean — bathrooms and showers were spotless, and the dorm beds had privacy curtains and individual reading lights, which made sleeping in a shared room much more comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful: I arrived late, and they stayed open for me, even arranged hot water. The common area has a beautiful view of the valley and a rooftop where guests gather in the evening — great for meeting people. Wi-Fi was decent throughout.

We actually stayed in Dharmkot way above Dharamshala and McLoedganj.
If you are travelling by your big car or SUV please note that place is cramped. We traveled 17km in 2hr 50 minutes as I was travelling in Isuzu. If you plan to get their either you take your small car or you take bus.
Loved the Monastery and tea garden, A must visit place.
Do visit the waterfall in Bagsu and if you want to shop for souvenirs shop from Bagsu market as anywhere else is more expensive,

McLeod Ganj is such a beautiful place. I don’t do alcohol or smoke anything but this place kept me high. For a week I stayed in Shalom backpackers it was a very good place and view from the hotel is beautiful (recommend). Checkout Morgan’s place, Tibet kitchen, Alt cafe and Queenies cafe in Norbulingka. You can rent a vehicle as soon as you get down from the bus(petrol bunk stop) Ramdeep Travels bike rental place. Sweet Punjabi guy will help you plan your trip.
It’s difficult to find sensible people, most of them are junkies. Nature has its way of making you high you just have to explore with patience. This trip made me realise nature doesn’t really need humans but we humans need nature.

The bad all the rest, extremely noisy place and bad vibes.
If someone wants to relax or at least sleep, avoid this place.
However, if someone wants to smoke the shisha and argue, it’s just the right place!

McLeod Gunj is a Gem in the heart of Himachal. Closest airport is Kangra which is about 45 mins drive and has direct daily flights from Delhi. Beautiful nature with snow capped mountains, trekking trails, mall road, temples and very calming and peaceful Dalai Lama Temple.
The people of himachal have a long way to go in being hospitable for tourist. Also too many Hebrew speaking israelis who seem to believe this is their Tel aviv while speaking with local Indians. Hopefully the Indian government is looking into it before it gets too late..
