Location and Transport
Thiruvananthapuram (also known as Trivandrum) International Airport is situated about 4 miles (7 kilometres) from Thiruvananthapuram city centre. You can reach the city by bus from the terminal, with journeys taking around ten minutes. If you walk part of the way into town, you may find an autorickshaw driver who can take you into town for slightly cheaper than the bus. Trivandrum Pettah railway station is just over a mile (2 kilometres) from the airport and offers connections to Thiruvananthapuram central railway station. If you have heavy luggage, you might want to take a taxi between the airport and the rail station.

A few hotels are located within 4 miles (6 kilometres) of the airport, and some offer a free shuttle service. Airport facilities include duty-free shops, restaurants and nap rooms. A post office, currency exchange and baby changing rooms are also provided.

Thiruvananthapuram International Airport has two terminals, with Terminal 1 handling most domestic flights and Terminal 2 operating both domestic and international flights.
