Location and Transport
Set 37 miles (60 kilometres) east of Tokyo, Tokyo Narita International Airport is set between the towns of Narita and Shibayama. Central Tokyo can be reached in 36 minutes by Keisi Skyliner Express or the Narita Express which takes 50 minutes. Both stop at terminals 1 and 2 (there’s a bus link between terminals 2 and 3). Taxis stop at each terminal and cost around JPY 16000 to get to Tokyo’s Zone A.

There are a few hotels located by the terminals with more found in Narita and many offering a shuttle service. Shops can be found in all terminals, but the biggest selections are in terminals 1 and 2. You’ll find eateries dishing up traditional Japanese cuisine, as well as venues serving food from further afield. There are often cultural exhibitions with past shows including Ukiyo-e printing, a tea ceremony and Bonsai tree displays.

Terminals 1 and 2 offer most amenities, with Terminal 1 acting as a hub for major airlines like Japan Air and Delta. Terminal 3 is where most low-cost airlines leave from, and you can reach the larger terminals (and train stations) by shuttle bus or foot.
