I stayed one night at Hulhule Island Hotel in Malé after my speedboat transfer to Dhighura was cancelled due to rough seas, and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend the night. Yes, it’s on the expensive side, but the location and facilities are excellent — perfect for a short stay near the airport. I even had the chance to enjoy a quick snorkel right there, which was a lovely surprise. Breakfast was outstanding, and I want to especially thank the kind egg chef who noticed I was struggling with an injured hand and helped plate my food — such a thoughtful gesture! The bar staff were also fantastic, friendly, and attentive. Highly recommended even if it’s a bit pricey — the service and comfort make it well worth it.

A very nice new hotel, staff very friendly and helpful. A guy wait for us in the aeroport and provide free shuttle service from and to aeroport. We stay only one night because our flight to island was next day early in the morning. So, they prepare the breakfast to take away.
The rooms were clean, big, full of light and very well organized.

My family of 5 stayed here for 1 night before heading to our island resort early next morning - it was the most perfect place for us - in my opinion much better value for money than staying in a hotel whether you are 1 person or 6!
The apartment is 10mins away by taxi from the airport and couldn’t be in a more convenient location as we needed to be back at the airport early the next morning - we got food from the Mexican restaurant just downstairs as we arrived quite late (our flight landed at 8pm), and ate in the apartment as it was well equipped. We had bottles of water in the fridge for us which was well needed.
The apartment is spacious, beautifully decorated and super clean. The beds are all very comfortable and the rooftop patio is just amazing - too bad we didn’t get much of a chance to use it. The host was so helpful from the moment I made the booking and answered all my questions without any delays - I felt incredibly reassured by the host’s advice and detailed instructions.
I would definitely come back again and highly recommend it to everyone for a short or long stay, especially if you are travelling with family.
The guest house has a barbecue and spa centre, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant. There is a 24-hour front desk at the property.

The property was very clean and you get exactly what you book. The owner is very friendly and helpful. You can cook and keep you’re food in the fridge. It’s also close to the ferry to go back

I stayed in Male for one night due to my flight home being early the next morning. It was an experience to see the capital city, but if I could have stayed on the resort longer I would have preferred. Male is very hectic and quite dirty as a city. I did enjoy a good meal, which made the experience worth it. The hotel where I stayed was also central and provided excellent customer service (Beehive Premier). The food was from Seahouse.

Hulhumale despite being busy like the rest of Male has an airy feel to it with lots of greenery - almost colonial. The East side is quiet for traffic although it's close to the seaplane flight paths - I didn't find that intrusive. The West side has the harbour with the ferry terminal and where the liveaboards anchor between trips. When I was there there had been a lot of recent building work so I would avoid staying there.
Lots of options for buying fresh fruit and vegentables if you need and a range of places to eat at different price ranges.

It was a lovely island friendly people & I think I stayed in the best place for me on this island my host were fantastic, they could not of done more to make my stay any better than it already was 10/10 perfect 😍
I loved all the food I had @ Indian cafe,loved swimming @ the local beach, not bikini beach
One thing I really disliked was Moscow yeda they tried to double charge me on my credit card when I asked them about 6 of them just started laughing, eventually I got my money back & that was the only bad experience on the whole island.

Absolutely visit th main Island, there lots to visit and experience. Food and people were fantastic. Beaches and activities are also great. There many different boat trips and Island flights, although expensive worth exploring. Its a dry Island so be prepared that theres no alcohol, when were were at airport to fly to Male the duty free are selling you alcohol so if you arrive with bottles etc in hand or checked in luggage its confiscated.

Airport help desk doesn't know anything about Himmafushi. It was tough to manage a boat to Himmafushi from the airport. However, the beach was nice. I enjoyed the scene of small fishes near around the beach.

We only had 4 days and picked Huraa because it is close to the airport. A very bad choice. The island is absolutely not nice, full of trash, nothing is taken care of, even the bikini beach was a huge disappointment, dirty, broken sunbeds, only 6 umbrellas. No cafes, restaurants anywhere.
The only nice place on the entire island is the Pearl Sands. It is a hotel, but you can pay a daypass to use their beautiful private beach including a very a good lunch. That place saved our vacation.

I only stayed overnight in Male and, in general, it was enough. Simply passing though to get my flight home.
As expected the city is noisy, busy and hectic. Wow the contrast from the laid-back, easygoing atol where I was based for the holiday.
However, I still quite enjoyed it. The guy from the diving company arranged a tour guide for me whose policy was that I pay him what I thought his time was worth. I got to experience the traffic from a scooter (quite scary to begin with) was taken to the market and given lots of free samples of local foods to try and had visits to all the important sites in three brilliant hours.
He also introduced me to a wonderful restaurant - The Seagull Cafe- where I visited another twice before leaving the food and the coffee were so good.

It is fine for the short stay but i wish some city side activities can be added by local citizens such as road side singings music's etc. The citizens are so friendly,, their authorities are so kind with the tourists.
