Penang International Airport is located in the south-east of Penang Island, in Bayan Lepas, and 10 miles (16 kilometres) from the capital of George Town. The best way to reach the city is by taxi, which should cost about MYR 45 and take about 25 minutes.

If you need a place to stay close to the airport, most options are located within 3 miles (5 kilometres) of the airport, in Bayan Lepas. Only a few have shuttle services, so it’s best to get a taxi. Back in the airport, you can browse its shops, and there’s also a bank and currency exchange.
