Location and Transport
Julius Nyerere International Airport is located 7 miles (12 kilometres) southwest of Dar es Salaam city centre. Buses and coaches run frequently between the airport and other parts of Tanzania, including Dar es Salaam. Bus stops can be found within 1000 metres of both terminal buildings.

Several hotels can be found within 3 miles (5 kilometres) of the airport and many offer a shuttle service. At the airport itself, you’ll find an internet kiosk (there’s no WiFi at the airport), a post office and a tourist information point.
