Denver International Airport is around 25 miles (40 kilometres) from the city itself, with a taxi or DIA airport shuttle ride getting you downtown in about 25 minutes. You also have the option of using the city’s public transport system, with the A Line rail service offering convenient access between the city and the airport.

For those in need of a few hours' sleep before a flight, plenty of hotels are situated close to the airport terminal. A 24-hour car park can be found within a 10-minute walk of the airport and the cheapest option costs USD 3 per hour or USD 13 per day. Other facilities include charging stations for electronic devices and more than 140 shops and restaurants.

Catching a connecting flight at Denver International will require travellers to pass through immigration - a passport, visa or ESTA may be necessary. For the best view of the Rockies, head towards gates C23 and C24.
