Location Close to Graceland, pool for a swim after a hot day. Access to bar for a beer and brekkie with cappuccino. Courtesy bus to and from the airport and bus driver took us to a restaurant and picked us up which was great.

The location is perfect. Its walking distance from Graceland. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The room was spotless. We used the Holiday Inn Express and Suites in both New Orleans and Memphis during our roadtrip. On both occasions they were absolutely spotless and our rooms were very comfortable. They will be our goto accommodation on future trips. Very happy with our room . Breakfasts were just perfect for our needs. Very happy here.

This place is 20 mins walk from Graceland so if you're on a budget it's ideal, a couple of bars within five minutes walk and a few places near to eat, don't expect luxury but it was okay for a short stay.

Fantastic location. Great theming with Elvis memorabilia everywhere, including in the room and reception. The pool is shaped as a guitar. The waffles for breakfast also have a guitar symbol. Very convenient and fun. Good eating options nearby.

Memphis is a well-known landmark filled with cultural and music history references. Beale street is fun on Saturday night. We also visited Graceland and thought it was a bit disappointing. I think 1 night was just right, and ideally I'd recommend that it's a Friday or Saturday night. The city doesn't feel completely safe, so be cautious.

I'm assuming there are parts of Olive Branch that are nicer than the specific area the Hotel Desoto is located in. We went to South Haven which was very nice - just were not good eating establishments directly around Hotel Desoto.

This was an updated area.
This was an updated area. The rooms had been updated and so was the lobby and the breakfast area. The carpet in our room already has a stain on the floor by the sink. But the rest was great. My only real issue was the hot water was not hot, but warm only. After the long drive, a hot bath would have been useful.

Too long, but blame the organizer of the conference, who didn't give us time to see the sights. Unfortunately, downtown Memphis shuts down early, so our experience was limited.
A lot of homeless people downtown. My impression was better than Detroit, but not by much.
Very friendly folks, though.

1. Very comfortable room with 24-hour free shuttle that does not require reservation in advance
2. Clean and big fitness room. The swimming pool looks nice but I didn't use it because it was still cold.
3. Generally speaking, it is a pretty good hotel to stay for those who arrive at MEM Airport late or will catch an early flight at MEM Airport.
Good location, clean rooms and comfortable. The hotel is not in the greatest neighborhood, but has good safety features such as a gate in the front. Nice location close to MEM airport.
