Just 14 miles (23 kilometres) outside the city, Lambert-St.Louis International Airport is connected to the centre by MetroLink, a light-rail line that connects you to downtown St Louis in 30 minutes. Regular trains leave around every ten minutes from both terminals. There’s also a bus terminal and Greyhound bus stop for national services. A taxi from STL will cost around USD 44, taking around 20 minutes.
You’ll find a good selection of hotels close to the terminals, as well as options in the nearby towns of Maryland Heights and Earth City with shuttle services. Both terminals feature shops selling refreshments, newspapers and gifts. You’ll find cafés, bars and restaurants serving American and Italian cuisine. The airport offers 20 minutes of free WiFi (then there’s a charge of USD 7.95 for 24 hours).Terminal 1 has a US Bank branch, which offers currency exchange and is open Monday–Friday.
