Wild Coast Tented Lodge - Relais and Chateaux - All Inclusive is adjacent to the famous Yala National Park, renowned for its dense leopard population. Exceptional property with wonderful facilities and staff. The game drives were amazing and food and drink were all wonderful!

My review is based on just one day of stay and everything we had the chance to experience. During our journey of discovering Sri Lanka, I had to choose a hotel to celebrate my wife's birthday, and Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort exceeded all my expectations. A special thank you to the wonderful team, and especially to our host Imalka, who went above and beyond to prepare a surprise for my wife – all improvised on the same day. The resort is truly paradise, fully living up to its five-star status, from check-in to check-out, with excellent facilities. The room is spacious, clean, and elegant, surrounded by gardens and offering stunning sea views. The pool is fantastic, with plenty of space to relax. The beach is peaceful and perfect for relaxing, although the sea can be quite rough. However, this is not a problem, as there is a nearby beach where swimming is safer. That beach is also charming, with seaside bars and restaurants. The bar at the Il Mare restaurant offers a happy hour with great drinks, breathtaking views, and a stunning sunset. Dinner at Journeys was the cherry on top – a warm ambiance and exquisitely prepared cuisine. Breakfast was also exceptional. Even though I am familiar with the Anantara brand and have stayed at several of their resorts worldwide, Tangalle Resort managed to surprise us. We even considered staying an extra night, but that would have disrupted our travel plans in Sri Lanka. Without a doubt, this is a hotel to return to for a longer stay. Offering a private beach area and a swimming pool, Ananthaya Beach is located on Rekewa Beach in Tangalle and provides 24-hour front desk for the convenience of the guests. Simply amazing! We licked everything about our stay here. It's a small and cozy resort that offer all you could need to enjoy holidays. A beautiful infinity pool, delicious Sri-lankan breakfast, amazing view to the sea. We licked that much that we canceled other hotel we had booked and stay another night here. They were very nice and they were able to make something for dinner even if we have arrived very late night. The stuff were very nice and helpful in every moment. We thank you a lot!

The setting is in the countryside with access to magical walks through rice paddies and farm land with opportunities to connect with friendly locals. Walks can take you all the way to seaside with many bird and water buffalo sightings. The accommodations at Yaye are modest, but adequate. The courtyard setting is beautiful and zen-like. The fish dinner prepared by host was one of the best meals we had while we were in Sri Lanka. Host was gracious and accommodating! Yaye for us was very memorable.

Located in the deep south of Sri Lanka, Chena Huts is just 5-minute away from Yala National Park. Fabulous setting. With very friendly staff. With booking.com you get a daily safari included whilst the tour operators often book 2 per day. Be aware if you cancel you loose the tour which we weren’t aware of and as it was raining heavily we cancelled but as weren’t aware of the policy they did reinstate the tour. Food is lovely and don’t miss sundowners on the beach.

Beautiful stay that transported me away to nature. The camp was stunning, with amazing outdoor meals, wonderful trails, and comfortable and well appointed tents. Beyond the site itself, everyone there was so caring, attentive, and knowledgeable. The safari was AMAZING- fun, educational, and we were lucky enough to spot a leopard and even a jungle cat. This is thanks to a keen eye and ability to know where to go, which was also away from the really busy sites so it felt much more private and enjoyable than expected.

Absolutely beautiful stay - the friendliest staff and the best food we had in all of Sri Lanka. Everything was perfect, they arranged our safaris for us which were fantastic and the staff were so kind with our baby girl. The pool was beautiful and so clean, the rooms were lovely. Honestly can't think of a bad word to say!

Big Game Yala - by Eco Team is located on the edge of Yala National Parks, a 20-minute drive from the Katagamuwa park entrance. This is a very well run camp close to Yala NP. We stayed in a family tent which was great with two tents joined together and plenty of space. Dinner is outside around a fire, which is very atmospheric. Nice small details with tasty afternoon tea and some activities such as basketball and badminton. Great place to stay, with excellent staff.

Everything was super nice, great dinner, friendly staff, the safari was great. They had wine and a very nice pool. We had complementary walks. Would definitely recommend. One of a kind experience.
