Nestled on the pristine island of Thelu Veliga, located in the South Ari Atoll, approximately 90 km southwest of the capital, Malé, Drift Thelu Veliga Retreat boasts of its own magnificent house reef.... This place is paradise on earth! It not only exceeded our expectations but as well made us experience our best summer vacation so far! The property is on a small unique island and consists of water villas and bungalows. They created a small tropical forrest on the island part so that the bungalows are well hidden and you can have your privacy. The water villas have their privacy on the terrace where you can directly enter into water. The villas were spacious, very clean (they provide twice a day housekeeping!) and had tasteful decoration. Because it is a 'retreat', there are no big loud parties or screaming people or children. You can really relax and get most of the experience. The sea is just fabulous! We were able to experience most of the underwater wildlife from reef sharks (baby to middle size), turtles, rays to various tropical fish. You don't need to be excellent swimmer there. You just need to bring your snorkelling gear or use one from the property (for free). And in the evening, you can just spend hours with star gazing if you want. Food has been delicious. There was always something for vegetarians. Dinner menu is different each night. The staff has always been very kind and showed excellent hospitality. For us this has been an unforgettable stay. We will come here for sure again.

If you are lazy to make a short walk to the beach nearby, you may use bicycles provided for free. The host and all the staff are beyond all praise- friendly, polite and attentive to all your needs. Our room was clean and equipped with all necessaries. As for the kitchen, you may order preferred meals by menu and enjoy it freshly prepared in a very convenient dining area with a family atmosphere. I highly recommend also the excursions offered by Koimala Hotel - the team is making all efforts to help you feel the wide range of emotions while observing the wild nature.

Το Ras Rana Lodge διαθέτει αίθουσα γυμναστικής, κήπο, ιδιωτική παραλία και κοινόχρηστο χώρο lounge, στον προορισμό Rasdu. An amazing experience with very sweet people. The stay is not really like the pictures but is still clean and comfortable ! I highly recommend it!

The staff were friendly at every interaction. The buffet was great, and the drinks, cocktail and wine selection was extensive (Must try the Espresso Martini!). The app makes coordinating everything easy, and shows all of the options across the resort which made it very easy to track bookings and decide what to do. There are additional excursions, spa treatments and dinner options that are payable as an extra charge to the all inclusive

The resort was fabulous, the food selection was great and the staff were absolutely incredible!! Such lovely and caring people. The staff made my experience a whole lot better! The snorkeling was outstanding! Along with their other activities. Saw so many sharks, sting rays, star fish and other beautiful fishes. The accommodation was absolutely stunning!! Pictures don’t do the place justice. Truly an unforgettable experience. A short seaplane ride to this beautiful accommodation. Highly recommended

Το Diamonds Athuruga Maldives Resort & SPA προσφέρει πολυτελείς, παραδεισένιες εμπειρίες, ευρύχωρες βίλες, σπα, θεραπείες Αγιουρβέδας και κέντρο καταδύσεων. We just came back from this resort and are already planning our next vacation at the same place. We stayed for two weeks in a standard beach villa and liked everything, the most important for us being the house reef. The house reef: simply outstanding, daily encounters with the sharks, turtles, whole families of the eagle rays, porcupine and boxfish, moray eels and so on. We enjoyed snorkeling at least twice a day and were never disappointed. The food : simple but good, with Italian influence. One could find pizzas and pasta at a daily basis (pasta with speck and safran sauce is my favorite). Every day the resort changes the theme of the diner, my favorite being Maldivian, we had it twice during our stay. Live barbecue with meat and fish, live naan station (just excellent) as well as other dishes from all around the world. We also booked the lobster dinner, while being a bit too expensive, it was one of the best we had so far. The Chef prepared an excellent lemon butter sauce that was just perfect for the lobster, highlighting its delicate taste. Thanks to the General manager Jaco we also had one diner at the a la carte water villa restaurant, we liked a lot the romantic setting, lounge music, service and of course the food. The excursions: we went on a whale shark excursion and were lucky to see two different of them. In our sixth’s time in Maldives it was the first encounter, what a beautiful experience ! We also went on the night sharks snorkeling and had seen at least 30 friendly nurse sharks of different size, it was impressive and beautiful. Finally, we went on manta safari and unfortunately haven’t seen any, but we will try again the next year. The resort also organizes the house reef snorkeling excursions twice a day (free of charge) with the marine’s biologists. If you are not a confident swimmer and/or would like to know better the marine’s life, I highly recommend to give it a try. The shop: I loved this shop.
