Owner Sajeev and caretaker Vijayan looked after us really well during our stay. The location is fantastic - it's outside Varkala which is great if you are looking for somewhere away from the tourist crowds but bear the beach. There was a quiet beach nearby which we had almost to ourselves at times. Swimming in the sea as the sun went down was one of the highlights of our trip to India. The room was a good size with air con and a fan. Breakfast was served outside on the terrace. There is also a washing machine for guests which was really helpful for us as we are backpacking. We were lucky enough to have visited during a Hindu festival and saw plenty of free entertainment at the temple next door. Varkala is only a short tuktuk ride away and has all sorts of different restaurants and shops. Thanks for a memorable stay!

I stayed in the non-sea-view room at Shoonya and it felt truly luxurious — One specific detail I liked was their bed. The best part was the open-roof shower — showering under the sky was amazing. Everything was perfect. At this price, it's unbeatable in Varkala. The apartment was clean, had great facilities, and included a balcony. It is also very quiet. You get a full apartment, and there's even free water available. The building itself is new, as is everything inside. The host was very welcoming. It’s also just a 4-5 minute walk from the beach, close to the temple, and there are some really nice local restaurants and cafés nearby with great views of the ocean. Highly recommended!

This hotel is located on a stunning beach, offering breathtaking views, especially from the second floor—truly magical! The manager was incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to accommodate every request we had. Breakfast was great, and we loved that we could request exactly what we wanted to eat. The level of service here is exceptional, making it a rare find. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a wonderful and relaxing stay!

Tiny Temple is a rare gem set back from a quiet section of 'the strip' close to Black Beach. Swati, the host, couldn't be sweeter. He was really helpful and made us feel completely at home. The location and view from the rooftop/deck is unbeatable and the price was totally reasonable (we were there just before 'high' season). New Wifi is being installed which will be the cherry on top! Another perk was the fine folks at Elina's Clifftop Restraunt (next door) who were really accommodating and even offered room/rooftop service. My daughter and I took a risk on a spot without reviews and in this case we're so glad we did. Can't recommend it highly enough.

I stayed there for a week and it was lovely. The place is really clean, the rooms are nice and the common areas are great. They really care about their guests and it was a good place to stay, close to the cliff but not in the middle of the Varkala tourists chaos. Thank you all so much for everything!!!
