Located very nicely with a perfect view on the ocean. The staff was super nice and the food very tasty. A beach with big Turtles is just a 10 minute walk along the beach away and they are a few even tho it was low season.

Flamingo Beach Resort is located in Unawatuna Rooms come with a fan or air-conditioner and some boast a four-poster bed. Each is equipped with a private bathroom with hot water supply.

Very friendly owner made us feel right at home. The rooms had comfy beds, were a good size and had decent fans and AC. If you go to Unawatuna Flamingo is a great option. Not fancy but very homely and welcoming and has everything you need. There's also a couple of nice communal sitting areas for rainy days or chilling out It is situated right in the middle of everything.

Adjacent to Unawatuna Beach, Sergent House is set in a boutique villa showcasing colonial architecture and originating in the 1800's.

The Sergeant House is an ensemble of buildings built in classical Sri Lankan architecture, with high-quality furniture typical of the country and lovingly designed, very appealing decoration in all areas of the complex. Although the original building is very old, it leaves nothing to be desired in terms of modern, contemporary comfort. The rooms are furnished and equipped down to the smallest detail. The lush tropical garden is well maintained and offers a sheltered Jacuzzi area and other quiet seating areas. The pool is elegantly blended into the grounds and offers a sort of jungle feeling when swimming. The really private small but nice beach offers sunny and shady spots on a nice lawn. As the hotel does not have many rooms, there was always a very private, quiet and relaxed atmosphere. The staff are personable, friendly and well trained. The very nice, competent manager of the hotel Chanthuri is always available for her guests and was always a good help with any questions. The tuktuk drivers and masseurs she arranges are also highly recommended. There was nothing to complain about. I would happily come back anytime.

This place is amazing. Perfect view of the beach and also clean. Right across the road to the beach and beach club / restaurant. Room is big, clean and also had our own private balcony. We stayed on the top floor. Really peaceful could hear the ocean with h the door closed....

Great location; very comfortable. All appliances new and the bathrooms seems to have been recently renovated. Staff allowed us our own space and privacy but there to help.

What an amazing hidden gem and perfect place to spend our honeymoon. We had the most wonderful 3 nights at Villa Selenya. Our room was stunning and had the most beautiful views of the pool and sea. The staff were extremely attentive and accommodating and made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived and throughout our whole stay - they really couldn’t do enough for us and were always so happy and polite. The menu and food at the hotel was outstanding and always so beautifully presented. We particularly loved the pool area, comfortable sun loungers with sea views. Location is great. Very easy to get around by tuk tuk which the hotel very kindly organised for us during our stay. We really can’t fault anything about this hotel. We really hope to return in the future and will be recommending it to all of our friends. If you are considering booking Villa Selenya please don’t think twice, you won’t regret it! Villa Ishq is a wonderfully luxurious villa set on a beachfront location in Talpe on the southern coast of Sri Lanka. The 5 bedroom suites are very well appointed and the bathrooms are huge and beautifully designed. What sets Villa Ishq above others is the staff. Led by the villa manager Nimal the staff are both many in number and super attentive. The cuisine is superb with all the local curries cooked fresh every day. We could order almost anything which was sourced locally and cooked to perfection. We had a most wonderful time! Many thanks for hosting us!
