Very friendly and courteous staff and never felt like we were in a different country. The staff were available for anything and at anytime. Felt very secure and safe.the Indian restaurant (Aveli) was tasty and delightful and the exceptional friendly staff are great. Tasty food and fresh fruit juice make you feel happy and visit again. The Kaani Grand is is best for family and solo travelers - very safe. The Kaani Grand has the best ocean view and rooms are very clean. The Spa service is economical and offers quality service. The excursions offered at Kaani is great and the staff take great care during the activities on the excursions.

A "boutique" hotel, perfectly located on the lower edge of the touristy part of the island. 2 minutes to bikini beach in the north, 5 to the restaurants etc. in the south. The staff were extremely helpful in pointing us in the best direction for meals, trips and general information. For diving, Maafushi Dive is next door, and for other trips we/they recommend Maldives Fellas or Shadowpalm. For meals, the nearby Velana beach was a significant cut above the rest (and we tried many) and Moonlight for drinks at the southern end is wonderful. Our room was right under the rooftop restaurant yet even being high season, noise was no issue at any time (which was my main concern based on some reviews). The room was always cleaned and fresh towels and water provided when requested. An excellent evening of chilled live music was a first for them while we were staying and very successful. Overall superb, and we'd definitely stay again.
