We had the perfect little lodge house right on the beach of lake Taupo. Great to see the sunset and be in a tranquil spot. The property was very clean and comfortable and had everything you could need. Bron the host was very welcoming and helpful. Couldn’t have asked for a better spot for the night.

The Reef Resort Motel offers self-contained accommodation on the edge of the Lake Taupo. The property features an outdoor heated freshwater pool and a thermal pool with a hot tub.

We stayed in Unit 4 and it was perfect. It was extremely comfortable and was in a perfect location with access to the lake walkway. It had excellent facilities and it was wonderful sitting on the deck, enjoying the view after a big hike. The shower was excellent!

A very nice flat right on the lake. There was also a 2-seater kayak. The steps are a bit of a hassle with a lot of luggage, but if you know that, you only take the essentials down with you. 😉
