Our stay at this guesthouse in Matacawalevu Island was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine hospitality that made us feel like part of the family. The food was absolutely amazing, every meal was delicious and traditional. Our room was so huge and beautifully maintained, it felt like the perfect holiday we were dreaming about. The guesthouse is perfectly located close to the beach, where we enjoyed kayaking around. One of the best things of our stay was visiting the nearby Sawa-i-Lau caves, an easy trip from the guesthouse, and taking part in local life through a village and church visit (the experience felt really authentic). This wasn’t just a stay, it was a real Fijian experience. We're so grateful to the wonderful family who hosted us and made everything so special. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a true experience away from everything.

I travelled to Fiji not really knowing what I was looking for, and Waya Lailai ended up giving me everything I didn’t even realise I needed. I’ve travelled solo for years and nowhere has ever made me feel the way this place did. From the moment I arrived, it felt like community, it felt like home, it felt like family. The people here are the whole experience. Honestly, every person I met, from the staff to the other travellers, made me feel so held and so welcomed. As a solo woman, and a solo Black woman, you never know how you’ll be received, but I have never felt so embraced in my life. Tailo, Melea, Josh, Andi, Nathan, Mosi and so many others whose names I sadly didn’t write down, thank you. You all made my time here so special. My bure was perfect. Overlooking the ocean, so peaceful. I told them I was celebrating a belated birthday and they went above and beyond. The whole village sang for me in the morning and they made the most beautiful gluten free cake surrounded by hibiscus petals. I honestly could have cried. Even with my dietary restrictions, nothing was ever a problem. Everything was done with kindness. This was also where I snorkelled for the first time and it happened to be with sharks. I was terrified at first but Josh made me feel so safe and supported. He stayed with me, helped me relax and by the end I had taken off my life jacket and I was actually swimming freely. Seeing the coral, the fish and the sharks up close was unbelievable. There is honestly a whole world under the water and it’s beautiful. Because it was low season, it felt very intimate with the group of travellers who were there at the same time. (They were all incredible btw - I feel like the people who also travel here are down to earth, kind and so genuine.) The staff even organised a beach day for us on another island, cooked for us on an open fire and we spent the whole day laughing, talking, playing music, swimming. It was one of my favourite days.

We have just departed from our four nights at Oarsman’s Bay Lodge, like other reviews, chicken was a standard on most all meals except breakfast. This was our third island and with each island all had their pluses and minuses.. here at oarsman’s the pluses were as follows.: 1. The beach ..best of the three islands we visited ~ clear, turquoise, and softest sand ever! snorkelling right off the beach, which was great and easy. 2. The dining room, beautiful setting right on the beach. They set you up according to your bure. Can’t beat the setting . And the negatives for this island are: 1. Although the meals are very tasteful, we had our fill of chicken! 2. Instant coffee. I went cold turkey for four days but feel better for it.!! So both plus and minus overall a wonderful time spent at Orman’s … who wouldn’t enjoy time in the YASAWA islands!!

Our three nights stay at Coconut Beach resort was amazing! We had just come from another island and by far this topped our last. The people of Fiji are the friendliest , warmest people we have ever met. The food at this resort was top notch, as well as our little beach bunker also known as a BURE. Beta.. who served us every morning, afternoon and evening really made you feel you were part of their coconut family. It is a small resort and there were only 10 guests staying at the resort when we arrived. The reception/dining area is exceptionally beautiful. Everyone got to know each other quickly, and with all the activities planned it was easy to become part of their family. When it was time to make our trip over to our next resort, the owner, Sheung, was quick to help with all details… we hated to leave this little jewel of a place and would love to come back and make this resort part of another peaceful getaway

Boasting a waterfront location, Paradise Cove Resort features over 200 metres of private beach area. Surrounded by a garden landscape, this property offers a day spa, an outdoor pool and a restaurant.... I manage a resort myself and can thoroughly say this is a great resort to stay at. They have so many activities going on each day and the dinners are a 5/5 at both restaurants. Well done to Lo who manages the day to day operations. Staff were all very nice and helpful, rooms were comfortable,clean and well set up. They even have an on-site nurse available 24/7 which is reassuring.

Nestled on a stunning white sandy beach in the heart of the Yaskawa Islands, Blue Lagoon Beach Resort offers the perfect island escape with beachfront dining, a vibrant bar, and a unique Japanese... Blue Lagoon is the best resort we stayed at on our Fiji trip. It is located on Nacula island, just on the beach and there is a large house reef just in front of the resort perfect for snorkling. We stayed in a yurt with a glass top and it was very spacious and clean. Bathroom was very large with 2 sinks and a shower in the open air. Full board meal plan is mandatory and it is fabulous. You can choose between standard restaurant and Japanese restaurant for lunch and dinner. Standard one has a la cart menu while Japanese offers 10 course meal for dinner. The food is delicious in both of them. The resort has 2 pools which are great if you want to relax if the weather is not good or water cold. The reef is nice, lots of nice corals and fish in different corals. The staff is exceptional especially the music band. The girl who sings can really sing. If possible, try to book accommodation for the weekend, there is a Fiji night then, with lots of Fijian cuisine food and traditional dance performed by the staff. Welcome and farewell songs also sang by the staff are really nice touch.

Set on 1 km of beach in Likuliku Bay, this resort offers a swimming pool and a luxurious day spa. There are 2 bars, a restaurant and a variety of cultural activities available. I cants even use word stuff, it’s more like a Family and I felt myself being absolutely welcomed! Amazing! Also, that now I can compare with other hotels I want to admit restaurant’s options and how tasty all the menu was! We will come back for sure!

Navutu Stars Resort is the only boutique resort on the secluded island of Yaqeta, with just 9 beachfront bungalows spread along 3 pristine white-sand beaches. The bure and facilities were amazing. The staff put lots of effort into making me feel comfortable and to make the resort a memorable stay. All the staff were extremely friendly and I could tell they enjoyed their work and spending time with each other.

Το Maika Beachside homestay, το οποίο βρίσκεται μπροστά στη θάλασσα σε Nalauwaki, έχει κήπο και ιδιωτική παραλία. Οι επισκέπτες μπορούν να απολαύσουν τη θέα στον κήπο. This was my most enjoyable and relaxing stay of my yasawa trip. So many positives. The place its self is separate from the families quarters so you feel like you have real privacy. The family are all lovely and non intrusive. The kids are the cutest things ever. The bed is of quality hotel standards with a priceless mosquito net. Finally the food was excellent and abundant, every time catering for my pescatarian needs. Was very sad to leave.
