This hotel was the highlight of our trip. We booked it for our last days here and we ended up extending. The place is detailed and beautiful. Super chill vibe, especially by the pool and little walks around the property. They have a restaurant and we got addicted to the curry and paratha. The hosts are amazing and were the most welcoming people we met throughout our trip. Major attractions were a few minutes away by tuktuk. The whole staff of this place made our stay beyond amazing.

Animals Boutique Hotel - Adults Only está en Ahangama, a 3 min a pie de Playa de Kabalana, y dispone de alojamiento con piscina al aire libre, parking privado gratis, terraza y restaurante. Nos pareció perfecto. Las instalaciones, la piscina, la iluminación, la música de fondo, el personal, y sobre todo, el restaurante del hotel. Uno de los mejores desayunos y cenas que probamos en Sri Lanka, y nada caro.

I had a great stay at Makai Surf House. The staff were kind and helpful, always around if you needed anything but never overbearing. The location is ideal — close to the beach but still quiet and peaceful. The house and garden are really well kept, with a calm, relaxed atmosphere. I also met some genuinely nice people while I was there, which made the experience even better. Would happily come back.

Beautiful hotel with full sea view to hikkaduwa beach. Frenzie is the sweetest host who upgraded us to a beautiful suite and made our stay memorable. Staff is excellent and attentive. Villa Windfall Unawatuna se encuentra a 1,7 km de Jungle Beach y ofrece piscina al aire libre y jardín, así como alojamiento con aire acondicionado, terraza y wifi gratis. Very clean and comfortable room! The staff were super friendly and attentive.. made me feel right at home. The the pool and garden area is very pretty and I loved the location, quiet but only a 15 min walk from the beach strip area. Also the hostess makes a yummy breakfast with the freshest fruit I’ve ever tasted! I hope to be back.

I had a fantastic 7-day stay at Villa Rumassala—and I loved it so much that I extended my visit by another 10 days. I was based there while completing a medical elective at a nearby hospital, and the villa offered the perfect balance of comfort and tranquillity. Tucked away from the main road, it felt like a peaceful retreat, complete with a serene pool and fresh towels provided daily. The Villas are located about 15 min walk from the main Unawatuna beach and shopping/food area or a short tuktuk ride to Jungle beach (unless you're ok with walking up some steep hills!). The rooms were spacious, exceptionally comfortable, and featured modern, spotless bathrooms. I particularly appreciated the communal kitchen area, which included a kettle and a washing machine—small touches that made a big difference during a longer stay. There was 24/7 security, making me feel safe throughout my stay. There was also a small gym that was open 24/7, however it did not have aircon which might put people off using in the Sri Lankan heat! What truly made my time unforgettable was the staff. They were incredibly warm and welcoming, always making sure I had everything I needed. I was even invited to join in the Sinhala New Year celebrations—a beautiful and memorable experience. A special thank you to Sasini, whose kindness and attention to detail ensured I was comfortable throughout my stay.
