The property is great, a wee oasis. The staff were amazing and nothing was ever a problem. As a business they’re still finding their feet, but that didn’t diminish the quality of the property, amenities and overall vibe, a pretty sick place to stay

I had the pleasure of staying at the Wild Monkey Hostel for 3 days, and I can confidently say it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had! The service is truly world-class, and the staff are some of the friendliest and most accommodating people I’ve encountered in any hostel or hotel. The rooms are spotless, super clean, and have a sleek, modern design that made my stay very comfortable. However, while the rooms are fantastic, the AC was a bit noisy, and on the 2nd and 3rd days, it started leaking water. Initially, I was considering giving the hostel 4 stars because of this issue, but the exceptional customer service completely turned my experience around. A special shoutout to the staff who went above and beyond to help me when I accidentally left my shoes at the hostel on my way to Oslob. I contacted them to explain my situation, and they kindly arranged for a driver to deliver my shoes to me the very next day—right at the whale shark spot! This act of kindness and their willingness to go out of their way to assist me was absolutely heartwarming. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. The Wild Monkey Hostel deserves a 10/5 for their incredible service and the wonderful staff who made my stay unforgettable. Thank you for an amazing experience—I can’t recommend this place enough! 🙌🐒

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Camotes Cay Hideaway. It truly lives up to being a real hideaway — private, secluded, and wonderfully peaceful. The atmosphere is so quiet and relaxing, with the waves serving as a natural white noise while you sleep, and birds chirping in the morning as your alarm clock. The hosts Bill and Cristina were perfect: always prompt in communication, attentive, and warm. Breakfast each day was great, and we were delighted by a free room upgrade with the best views which made the view even more spectacular. If you want somewhere peaceful with excellent hosts, great communication, and a setting that helps you disconnect, this place is perfect. PS. The internet connection is great and did I mention that they have cute dogs too? 🙂

it was a new property, Serge was a lovely owner that was happy to help if we needed anything, free coffee and water is a really nice touch and we loved sitting in the garden every morning. the location was really good, 5/10 minute walk from lots of restaurants and Kota Beach. bathroom was clean and a place outside in the sun to hang things out. would recommend this place. thank you for a great stay

Reasonable price for comfortable and clean stay. The place is relatively new and it was very quiet when we checked in. It almost felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The young lady was very helpful and hospitable. The owner's mother can be a little more friendlier but they were very accommodating and flexible overall :)

What a great place stay. Had an amazing time. Nice and small not many units which made it quiet. Close to the beach. Nice location. Staff were so helpful and went out of their way for us. Was a special stay.
