The staff's assistance was the most oustanding service from this hotel. I was incredibly thankful to Hung, who helped arrange a cake order from a local shop for our birthday surprise before our arrival. Hue was extremely helpful with advising postal/freight service for our excess stuff!!! They were sincere, tremendously warm, kind and helpful! 🥰🥰🥰 The hotel was well kept, and the staff were informative and always ready to help. We are a group of 10, therefore, came with a little bit of demand, and there was no time where we felt like we were too much or bothersome. We had a pleasant stay and smooth assistance from transport to personalised requests 🥰🎂 📦 Location was extremely close to the beach and city is a small walk if you fancy some slower evenings.

As Ha Long Bay becomes increasingly crowded — with ports overflowing with tourists and caves packed to the point where there's barely space to walk and the main route is jammed with Cruises and Boats... I did a lot of research when trying to decide which cruise we wanted to do in Ha Long Bay. And I mean....a LOT of research. In the end we decided to go with Unicharm Cruise because we liked that it went to the less busy Lan Ha Bay instead of Ha Long Bay, and we really, really liked the fact that there were so many outdoor/physical activities involved. The afternoon we checked in it was kayaking in Lan Ha Bay which was gorgeous. Then the next day it was a hike in Cat Ba Island National Park, which was tough but the views at the top were absolutely worth it. Then on the morning of the last day before check out, we did bike riding around Cat Ba Island through a local village with rice paddies and fields of water buffalo But let me just say – if you're looking for a relaxing/chill cruise, Unicharm may not be for you. There were activities every day and they were quite physically demanding. The hike in particular was definitely a bit tough. But personally that's what we were looking for, so we loved it! I was also really pleasantly surprised by the food offered on the cruise – all the meals were really delicious! But most importantly, I have to call out our tour guide Dem, who was with us for the whole 3 days. He turned our experience from good to GREAT. He was the nicest tour guide of anyone I had on my entire trip to Vietnam. He was super positive, super friendly, very passionate, and overall an amazing guide. He did all the excursions with us and we learned so much from him. He would even join us in games in the evening on the boat and chatted to us about our trip. Everything about the cruise was so well organised, from the pick up and drop off from Hanoi, to the check in process, the schedule of activities, mealtimes, etc. We absolutely loved our experience. It was the most expensive thing we did in Vietnam but overall we thought it was worth the price. Even just the view from the rooms was absolutely incredible.
