Although we arrived late in the evening, Marie was welcoming and showed us to our very clean room. She asked us at what time we wanted our breakfast and had a full Irish (and some 😃) ready for us the next morning. Her homemade scones and brown bread were sensational. Out the dining room windows we saw their new calf and met Patch, their terrier mix dog. Marie gave us tips, maps, and info on what see in the area and gave us a tour of St. John’s old schoolhouse that is also available to book for a stay. It’s adorable! I can’t say enough about Marie and John’s hospitality and kindness. I hope to see them again if I make it to Ireland!

A big bonus for us was meeting their wonderful dogs who were so adorable and friendly, but well controlled and never a bother. They were kept in a separate room until we asked to meet them. We got great advice on places to see and eat during our visit. We would not hesitate to stay there again!

The room was very clean and comfortable, with every detail thoughtfully considered. In the morning, we enjoyed a lovely breakfast with our hosts, which turned out to be the highlight of our stay. They were incredibly kind and welcoming - truly wonderful people.
