From the warm welcome, to the great location, the comfortable rooms, the delicious food, the exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly owners, it was wonderful!

Best location in Bhaktapur, right amongst the thick of it. Nice and quiet too though. Lovely staff, good food, nice rooftop views!

I stayed in Nirvana Kuti following the recommendation of Linda, a wonderful woman that I met in Delhi airport. She was indeed accurate: Nirvana Kuti is such a beautiful accomodation, comfortable, clean and pretty new. It was easy to feel home. Besides the comfort of the room, with a big, warm bed, with views to the temple just in front of the house, it is located just a few steps from Durbar square, in a very calm street. I slept extremely well and woke up to the beautiful views. Life is magical and I met Bobby, the owner of Nirvana Kuti, even before my stay. He kindly offered me a ride to Nirvana Kuti, and he made it very easy for me to feel home. Even more, he also allowed me to stay a bit longer because my bus was leaving in the evening. I appreciate Bobby's kindness and the beautiful taste in which the house is built. It is both comfortable and stylish, and the location couldn't be better. Thank you Bobby for making of my last days in Kathmandu (for this time) a beautiful experience and see you next time ♡

His guesthouse also has a welcoming atmosphere that truly feels like home. In the evenings, the living room transforms into a gathering spot where travelers from all over connect and share stories. If you’re traveling alone or want to experience Bhaktapur from a local’s perspective, Shekhar’s Shared Home is the perfect place.

Offering a garden and quiet street view, Gurung's Home is situated in Kathmandu, 2.1 km from Swayambhu and 2.6 km from Kathmandu Durbar Square. This bed and breakfast offers free private parking and full-day security. The accommodation features free WiFi throughout the property, as well as a terrace and a family-friendly restaurant. Santosh and all the staff were super friendly and helpful. I really appreciated all the advice I received in terms of trekking. I was even able to store my bags here while I was in the mountains. The welcome masala tea was delicious. The shower was hot and I never had to wait to use the toilet. I would recommend staying here before or after your trek.
