The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the duvet had excellent insulation for the chilly evenings—I didn’t feel cold at all during the night. It was the most comfortable hotel I stayed at in Peru. On top of that, since I was leaving at 6 a.m., they prepared a breakfast package for me, which was a very thoughtful gesture. The hotel also has a kitchen area that guests can use, and you can make tea with hot water. If I come back, I will definitely stay here again!

La Hosteria de Anita es un establecimiento de gestión familiar y ambiente animado situado en el distrito artístico de San Blas, en el centro de Cuzco. We spent 4 lovely nights at Hosteria, the staff was very kind and was able to assist with all our requests. Located very close to the central Plaza de Armas, it is convenient and quiet. There is a nice garden too where we spent a few nice evenings. Heating is provided. Breakfast was fulfilling.

Refugio de Mery Lucmabamba, que cuenta con jardín y terraza, ofrece alojamiento en Sahuayacu con wifi gratis y vistas a la montaña. What a fantastic place. Yes it is a little hike up a hill, but we were received with warmth from the owners and a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. Three of us stayed in the refugios, and our two camping mateswithout a booking were given a safe place to pitch a tent. The rooms were extremely comfy, with many blankets and had an emsuite bathroom with endless hot water. Outside the room is a lovely balcony with massage rollers, exactly what was needed this stage in the trek. The food was the best food I have had on salkantay, very veg and vegan friendly. There are coffee tours on site and a little store that sells the cheapest bread and fresh fruit/veg.when we left Mery gave us all Oreos and a banana for the road.
