Everything - room was way bigger than expected, with 2 full size rooms, 2 bathrooms, balcony and a sitting down area. Also, the hot tub/private onsen was way bigger than it seemed in the photos, and could easily fit 2 people at the same time. The onsen room was also way better looking than in the photos. Also, despite saying that it doesn’t serve dinner, the ‘light meals’ at the lounge are more than enough to satisfy given you can take as many as you want, and quite delicious. My favourite meals here were during the tea time though, so make sure not to miss it.

The staff was very attentive and accommodative. The Japanese breakfast very nice and diverse. Very good restaurant by the hotel to taste regional cuisine! The onsen experience my first was a nice discovery in and of itself with a full paronamic view of the Lake. Same excellent view from the big room. We were lucky to also have a view of Mt Fuji visible the following morning. It was a full immersive experience. We slept in kimono and on the tatami. A good night sleep!

Great traditional Japanese style tatami room. It was clean, quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The staff were great, and the food was amazing. Private outdoor bath was an amazing experience. 10/10 will return one day

Absolutely perfect for our family of 6 adults. Beautifully appointed. To enjoy such clear views of Fujisan during our stay was a WOW factor! Stunning sight from the balcony or living room AND THE BATHROOM - BLISS! The welcome bottle of wine and local souvenir were thoughtful gestures and much appreciated. A brief walk to the lake and an easy bicyle ride to Asama market and other local spots. Our bicycle mechanic son praised the quality of the bikes and all the family took advantage of cycling everywhere including Kawaguchiko. Highly recommended. Spoil yourselves!

This place was fantastic, we absolutely loved our two nights here in such a beautiful location. The host was beyond helpful and responsive. The home was comfortable, the beds were the best and overall very clean and lovely to stay in. You can even see Fuji from the top floor! Would definitely recommend.

The host was exceptional and went well above and beyond for us several times. Upon arrival we had a detailed description of how everything in the house worked, as well as maps of town and bus schedules so we could get around easily, and recommendations of where to eat. The house is very well maintained and was way larger than expected, was clean and had heaters in every room and is full of history. Each bicycle we used was personally adjusted for each of our heights, and the host assisted us with an unplanned trip into another part of town when otherwise we would have been out of luck. It felt like staying in a part of history and we were very privileged to have been allowed to stay there.
