Great place to spend few days in the middle of nature. Wifi worked well in the restaurant area, where you can also chill and enjoy cold drinks and the delicious food they serve. They have good food options (also for vegans). The staff is really friendly. Overall it was a very unique experience. It was easy to get there - if you arrive by bus from Flores like I did, you get off at the bus terminal and walk a bit back, then you turn right (towards the water) between El commercial Almendro and small bakery (the Sun dog cafe is right at the end of the road, you ask them to call Casa Perico at the bar).

Super awesome host. Very accommodating and helpful! Included complimentary simple breakfast - pancakes, banana, and coffee freshly made. I arrived with a car so needed a parking space. The parking was available. No issues there. Bed was comfy and clean.

Το Casa Manatí είναι σε Livingston, Izabal, σε απόσταση 0μ από Παραλία Ribera Rio Dulce. Julio’s cabana was newly built and very spacious. He just finished the new porch overhang the day before my arrival! I really liked the rustic feel of the home, and how private it was. I was the only one on the property during my stay. I stayed in the private room, but took a look upstairs at the loft. There are multiple beds in an open floor layout, with mosquito netting to ensure a comfortable sleep. There are kayaks available for a small extra fee, making getting around on the river very easy - especially if you have friends nearby, would like to visit the thermal waters, or grab dinner at Restaurante Viajero. Julio also has a well stocked kitchen if you will be doing your own cooking, as well as an EcoFilter water purifier. Loved my stay! Thank you Julio and your family for making me feel welcome.
