This was an amazing apartment and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking and serving utensils. There wasn’t a speck of dust or dirt anywhere to be found. It is at the very top of two flights of stairs but the climb isn’t difficult. The apartment is just a 1 min walk from the 141 bus stop … it’s literally “right there.” We branched out each day from Lauterbrunnen and found the travel easy to manage. The host was always at reach through the messaging app and was always very helpful. We’d def stay again.

The hostel was so nice; you get a free towel and a pair of house slippers and an amazing view from the balcony; you have a place to dry the clothes; and a kitchen to make your own food (equipped with all the necessary tools you need to cook; you just need to bring groceries to cook). Perfect location for hiking in Murren and around and a good start for the Northface trail. Good breakfast, clean and comfortable rooms and an unforgatable view of the all three northfaces of Jungfrau, Monch and Eiger, permanently in sight. The personnel and the owner of the Hotel were very kind and helpfull. The road from Murren to the Hotel takes around half an hour uphill and it is not recommended for troller-bagages (the path is paved with small stones). Best way at arrival is to take the funicular from Murren up to Allmendhubbel and from there to hike down to the hotel about 10 minutes. It is not so tiersome this way. Should you have trollers as luggage I also recommend to contact the property. They could provide transportation. At departure, hiking down to Murren is easy and recommendable (since it is downhill) having always the mountains in sight. We stayed for three nights but two nights is optimal. We hiked Northface trail which we recommend via Wasserfall Sprutz and arriving at Gimmewald were we had the hightlight of the jurney having a cold beer in a hot day on the terrace (upstairs) at Pension Gimmewald.

I had an amazing stay at Valley Hostel in Lauterbrunnen. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The accommodation was perfect, with everything you could need to feel at home. It was very clean and well-organized. The view from the hostel is breathtaking, looking out to the mountains and beautiful natural surroundings. The location is unbeatable, just a 4-minute walk to the station. I was so happy with my stay and would highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Lauterbrunnen. Thank you, Valley Hostel, for a wonderful experience!
