This is our 4th time in Costa Rica and this is the best hotel we ever stayed at. It is a beautiful, modern, spotless hotel walking distance to the beach. You can't beat the location. The pool is half-olympic size, amazing! The rooms are huge, with comfy beds. the bathroom is the biggest (and cleanest:) I have found in Costa Rica. The modern kitchen really helps when you dont feel like going out. We will definitely be back next year .

This was one of our multiple stays in Costa Rica, and we were truly impressed. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-equipped. Above all, the Refugio concept — which includes a beautiful café and a cozy bar offering excellent food and drinks — truly exceeded our expectations. Unlike at other accommodations, we didn't have to eat Gallo Pinto for breakfast every day, but could instead choose from a wide variety of delicious brunch options directly from the restaurant/bar. The staff were friendly and always ready to help with anything we needed — from arranging surf lessons to recommending great local restaurants. We were mainly in touch with Augustin, who took excellent care of us. Overall, we were delighted with our stay and can highly recommend this place.

The owners are friendly and accommodating. They gave me great recommendations for places to visit. The property is gated and feels very safe, and provides a nice respite from the hustle and bustle of the town. My room was very clean and comfortable. The room had a refrigerator, the shared kitchen had the equipment for making simple meals or reheating leftovers.

Beautifully appointed and clean room with comfortable sheets and bed, and lovely fluffy towels (bath and pool/beach). Incredible French style breakfast - an absolute highlight of the day! Lovely pool and garden area, and location is just ten minutes outside of Tamarindo, so perfectly away from the hustle and bustle. Very helpful and friendly staff

This is the best hostel I went to during my 5 weeks in Costa Rica. Beds are comfortable, there is a huge bathroom where there is shower and toilet in each unit, great kitchen with lots of kitchenware and two electric stoves. In the dormitories there are enough space for all the backpacks and stuff. They have small lockers for valuables. Nice pool with sunbeds and hammocks. And beautiful plants in the garden. Staff and volunteers and super nice and helpful, they really care about the wellbeing of their guests. And also the hostel is very clean. Close to center and supermarket. I am more than happy I chose this one in Tamarindo.

Next to the fact that the location is simply wonderful, filled with lush greenery and birds, an oasis of tranquility, Joe and Isa, the hosts, are warm people and truly care for their guests. They immediately make you feel at home upon arrival. The location is spot clean, all details in place. The hosts cater to all your needs, you really feel treated like a queen and king. Joe and Isa have a background in the food industry, which you can see in the breakfast. Tasteful, seasoned, fresh and original platters, prepared with love. Would 100% recommend to couples looking for a relaxing atmosphere, away from the hustle and bustle of touristy Tamarindo.

Everything was great! Quite Hotel located walking distance to the beach and restaurants. I felt I could truly relax. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was very good. The staff was very helpful and very kind. Our stay was a great experience and we will gladly come back.
