What a lovely place to stay when visiting Hadrian's Wall! We had a beautiful view overlooking the river and bridge. The room was large and comfortable. Brian, the owner, was very kind and generous with his time and allowed us to use the laundry facilities knowing that we'd been traveling for weeks. He's a fun and interesting conversationalist as well! We had a great time and would definitely stay here again!

I absolutely LOVED this place! Host was extremely kind and helpful, rooms were new and super clean, breakfast was delicious and there is and old mill next door with fantastic heritage. I would gladly come back here anytime!

Lovely country pub stay. Rooms were fitted out to very high standards, the food was excellent, and the location was great for us. We could spend time in Newcastle then visit hadrians wall and have a short trip back to our accommodation.

What initially drew me to book the hotel was their candour regarding parking in Hexham. They acknowledged the problem and after the long drive i undertook all was resolved to my satisfaction. You can deposit luggage with them and go to main car park which is only about 3/4 mins walk away. From then on, my stay just got better and better. If i could, i would give them 11 o/o 10, they are that good.

    Selected for four older guys walking Hadrians Wall Path. Excellent host. Room was large and fitted all four of us. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a 'self serve' set up, with plenty of choice. Excellent location in the town.
