We had the most wonderful stay at La Isla Dulce- the best hostel we have ever stayed at. The owners, Daria and Douglas, made us feel right at home from the beginning. The food prepared by Daria and the local women was delicious and made with a lot of love. Douglas went out of his way to organize boat and bus transfer back to Guatemala City for us. And the house we stayed in was breathtaking- beautifully designed, with gorgeous furniture, amazing bed, and a beautiful view of the lake. I sincerely hope we can come back and visit again.

This has been my favourite stay in Guatemala. The space is extremely conducive to relaxation and gentle socialising. The wifi doesn't really work, but I think that's what makes this place special (if you really need wifi you can ask or kayak to a nearby restaurant - which also has great cerviche). Lots of time spent doing yoga, swimming, sitting in hammocks, playing cards and eating as a family. The staff are incredible (thanks Tim) and the vegetarian food served is amazing with large portions. Definitely recommend getting the massage too. I can't wait to come back

Such an amazing place. A great spot to just chill out for a few days. There’s literally a jungle all around and the river is beautiful and clean. The staff were fantastic, they really try to make this place feel like home for you.

A recently renovated campground located in Miramar, Coco Bamboo Beach Camp features a garden. There is an on-site restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available.

The Camp is located at a wonderful small beach, surrounded by palm trees and mangrove forest. The whole small camp is designed were nicely and made with a lot of love. It has a very nice chill/kitchen area with a large table to get together with the other guests and volunteers. We could join the family dinner and breakfast for some extra money, which was very tasty. We did rent kayaks and went to the mangrove forest. The host Laurence helped a lot in preparing the trip and gave us a lot of information to arrive to the camp and go to Livingston. She was very helpful and kind as the other guest were. I would recommend to stay at least three nights, but a few days longer would probably be even better.

Very good location and I was able to get a pedicure next door when I went to pay for the stay! Brilliant. Daniel was very helpful and friendly. I loved being able to walk to and from Sendero de Bosque tropical las Escobas, it is stunning! Well worth the visit. Mona’s cafe was recommended to me by Daniel - I liked it so much I went back every day (the mokka & mokka frappe were both really nice)

Heidi and Chris are absolutely wonderful people. They will help with everything and are incredibly helpful. The price for the accommodation, which is higher than the average in Livingstone, will pay you back 10 times. The food is great and tasty. Anything you need is no problem.
