The surroundings were serene and the views were magnificent. Having a private warm natural spring bath at the door made it a spectacular experience. For anyone thinking to trek Mt Batur I highly recommend staying here for a night. My private tour was organised by the Villa on the night I arrived for the next morning. There were very accomodating, assisting and provided great value.

The location was perfect because we went hi King in Mt. Batur and the starting point was 4 min walking away. The breakfast was delicious. The room was clean, large and bed comfortable. The host was friendly, helpful and kind. I recommend to those that are going to hike.

Best views we have had in Asia. Fantastic place if you want to go camping but don’t have any of the gear! This was the comfiest mattress and duvet we have had during our whole trip! The staff here are so helpful. They kindly lit our fire for us in the evening, cooked dinner, made coffee and beautiful breakfast overlooking the most stunning views of Mt Batur. Toilets were impeccably clean - so much cleaner than some indoor places we have stayed! Lovely warm shower. Highly recommend as a break from hostels and hotels - absolutely great experience!

The perfect place for those who want to escape from the busy city. Quite place and unique interior, modern minimalist building style with a reasonable budget. The direct view of Lake Batur is an added value in itself. Most importantly, the owner is very friendly and helpful. I wish I had more time there.

The location was amazing the best most stunning view ever, the room was lovely and very spacious but even more so the staff were so lovely and had the best hospitality. My partner and I had ran out of cash and wanted to go to an atm and then go to a cafe for breakfast however there are very limited grab vehicles available, the owner (lovely old man) had offered us a ride to the atm and to the cafe as well and even left someone with us to wait for us until we were done so we would have a ride home. He also offers his own jeep tours up to Mt Batur to watch the sunrise if I knew that would’ve booked through him.

We booked this property for the view - it’s incredible! Even in rainy season you can have some breathtaking views, once clouds go down and it stops raining. When it’s sunny, it’s pleasure to have a bath with the view to mount Batur and the lake. The stay itself it’s very cosy and comfy, you have all you need there. The Staff is extremely kind and helpful, thank you for your hospitality! To get to the property you need to walk down the hill like 10min, so if it rains have shoes that have a good grip and enjoy the walk in mango & avocado & dragon fruit orchard!

We felt incredibly welcome at Tegal Sari. The owners are really nice people, the room was clean and comfortable, we had no issues with hot water or anything. They provided drinking water, a teapot, hairdryer and everything we may need to feel comfortable. There are stairs to go down but it won’t be a problem if you’re fit enough. The breakfast was simple and delicious, they even served it very early in the morning for us not to leave hungry 🥹

    amazing location and peaceful. there are many stairs and a small alley to reach the cabin but once there the view is beautiful. the room is simple and very clean, the staff are so helpful and kind. the pisang goreng that they cook for breakfast is so delicious

    The location and the view are absolutely stunning. The room design with a greek touch is very nice Once you are up there( it’s quite a road to get there) it’s very peaceful, even the flies ( quite a lot due to rainy season) could not interfere the beautiful atmosphere. Also an ideal location if you plan to hike Mont Batur, which I would recommend I loved it The staff very nice a d helpful and only a WhatsApp away.
