La Rotunda is an exceedingly comfortable apartment on the northern edge of Pavia’s historic centre with views over the old town. With luggage, it’s about a 15 minute walk from the station and is accessible by a path leading off Viale Nazario Sauro. A lift takes you from the ground floor to the floor below the apartment, from which there's one flight of stairs to the apartment door. We loved everything in the apartment – decor, views, sofa, storage, bed and bathroom. The traditional moka stove-top coffee pot in the well equipped kitchen is a nice touch. It was a much appreciated bonus to have breakfast items provided by the host. Taking the lift down to the lower ground floor, leaving by the back entrance and heading south through the arch of the private road, it’s just a couple of minutes to Basilica di San Pietro in Ciel d’Oro. Home to the tombs of Saint Augustine, Boethius and Lombard king Liutprand, the church is featured in Boccaccio’s 'Tale of Messer Torello and Saladin' from the Decameron. This is also the quickest way into the historic centre. We loved La Rotonda and Pavia. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend both and to stay here again.

Fantastic, cozy place. Super clean and comfortable. I got the double room which was spacious, comfy mattress and new pillows, quiet room.. Great breakfast and amenities. Late check-in . Andrea was very welcoming and took his time to have a little chat with me. Letizia was also very kind on the phone and provided me with fast replies. Great location too. I will definitely go back!
