We loved absolutely everything, the room was spacious, the view was breathtaking, and the beds were comfortable. The property has two onsens – the “left” one is larger, but both are fantastic and relaxing. The food was delicious, and the price was surprisingly reasonable. We tried both the Japanese and European breakfasts, and they were equally very good. Also a free shuttle to the nearest station and sights is offered in the morning.

Beds are comfortable and for my family of 3 was perfect. My 3.4 yo girl loves bunk beds and one of the upper ones is covered so she couldn’t fall during sleep. Restaurant is decent, the wheat bread was amazing, salmon too. Breakfast was a 8/10 but plentiful. Onsen is small but perfect, we loved it. Location is 10/10, 3 min from Gora station. It was the best stay we had in Japan. And room is spacious.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff! They speak very good English and even organized an Onsen visit for me and another guest on the same day. The guest house is super cozy and it’s very nice to relax in the common area with the tatami floors. The guest house is located very close to Hakone open air museum, so it’s easy to reach by bus.

The room was spacious and luxurious with a traditional Japanese feel. The staff was really kind and helpful. We booked our stay with dinner and breakfast included and that was the best choice, both was delicious and a great experience. Both the public and private onsen experience was amazing. I would definitely book Mount View Hakone again the next time we come to Japan :)

Perfect location in quiet town. We really enjoyed all baths, especially the indoor. Traditional room with futons. We were scared about the frozen pizza you can buy at reception but it was really delicious. We had double mozzarella and 2x marinara with garlic (2 people). We also liked that at the hotel were only few guests.

A wonderful place, with beautiful hosts. Really did not want to leave. Accommodation was very comfortable and clean. Our hosts were such lovely people. They made us feel welcomed. Provided us with extensive information on the area and what to do. Plus they booked us into a local restaurant for dinner. Thank you and hope to see you in NZ soon.
