Honestly one of the cleanest and nicest hostels I've stayed at! The staff are all young and super friendly (shout out to Sima & Lucky <3). Universal plugs, a small shelf, small light and a curtain for each bed. You can rent a towel for a 5$ deposit and you can switch it for a clean one once a day so many people used it for the beach too. There's a filtered water refill station by the restaurant for 25-50c per bottle. You can generally pay by card without an extra fee (only the key and towel deposit have to be in cash). They have umbrellas to use when it rains to walk inbetween the buildings. Activities every day (fire show, quiz, tournaments,...). While it definitely has a young party crowd there are spaces to find some calm and the music isn't too audible back in the rooms and usually stops at a reasonable time. The restaurant food was good although a bit more expensive than if you just walk down the beach a bit. There is a gazebo/pavillion kind of area with plugs and tables which is nice for working or hanging out if the restaurant area is too busy or loud. Rooms get cleaned everyday and you can also ask for your sheets to be changed if you stay there for longer. Hair dryer available in the bathroom.

I had an amazing experience at The Hide Out. The welcome was exceptionally warm, and you immediately feel at home. The hosts go above and beyond to make sure you have a wonderful stay — nothing is too much trouble. They also give great tips about what to do on the island. The bungalows have been recently renovated and are beautifully decorated, with everything you might need. If you’re visiting Koh Rong, I can highly recommend this place!
