The room was spacious and comfortable, with a clean bed sheet, blanket, and a cozy bed that made for a good night’s rest. The bathroom was large with good water pressure, two mirrors, and even a small cube of soap provided. I also liked the thoughtful touches such as the wooden towel hanger and standing fan. Right outside the room, there’s a dining table overlooking the owner’s beautifully maintained garden, a perfect spot to enjoy the peaceful greenery. Dinner prepared by the owners (upon request) was delicious and felt home-cooked with care. Mr. Chaluka and his wife are genuinely kind and helpful hosts who go above and beyond to make guests feel comfortable. They also offer safari tours at reasonable prices, and for those interested in authentic Ayurveda treatments or spa sessions, Mr. Chaluka can also help arrange great options.

We had an incredible stay here! All of the staff working at the hotel are such sweethearts and really made our stay special. The service is excellent as is the professionalism. The food here is also very special - the chef prepared the best rice and curry that we had during the trip and also incredible pittu for breakfast. We're still dreaming about those delicious meals! Unfortunately, it rained for most of our stay so we weren't able to take advantage of the pool but thanks to the nice porch we were still able to stay outside. We would love to stay here again!

Less than a 5-minute drive from the city center, this hotel is nestled on a vast plain, creating a tranquil escape. Its location is convenient for Sigiriya (approximately a 30-minute drive), downtown Dambulla, and the cave temples. The room was comfortable, the amenities worked flawlessly, the garden setting was delightful, and the staff were warm and attentive. The breakfast was delicious and highly recommended! I booked this place because I read amaaing reviews… the experience I had exceed my expectations… you really feel part of the family from the very first moment, the owner is really considerate he truly cares about his clients!! He took me everywhere! Helped me with anything I would ask, made my stay unforgettable and truly local. Ask him to take you around you won't regret it, I has the best trips. The wife is also such a wonderful lady, she truly cares I could tell. Plus, location is the best, you are 10 mins walk to the cave temple in Dambulla which is the main attraction in the city. Delicious breakfast ( they arranged a gluten free option for me so good!!!) The bed is also very comfortable and hot shower very appreciated. I had a wonderful time.

Madhu and Sanji were the nicest hosts, welcoming me with a fruit juice after the long flight and helping me arrange the following day (Minneriya Safari with a great driver/guide !). The room was the nicest I've had so far in Sri Lanka, air conditioning and beautiful bathroom. The breakfast was also great - served on the terrace overlooking the lush garden.

Very nice and helpful host. Perfect localization and delicious breakfast in clean and comfortable house. Owner on a first day took us from a bus station by his tuktuk and invited with papaya juice. He also arranged our trip to Pidurangala Rock and Minneriya National Park for a very reasonable price. At the end on the last day, he took us with his family to a local club cricket game and a post-game festival. It was wonderful time!
