It was simply precious. Private , secluded area. The owners picked us up with a jeep, organized a jungle tour for us and gave us a ride as well. The family is incredibly hard working and polite, they try their best to accommodate our wishes. The food is amazing. No AC but it wasn't necessary as it was pretty cool at night.

😊🫶 This is my favourite accommodation in sri lanka. I had arrived tired and with all my clothes wet, and I found lovely people who helped me dry everything , and a beautiful and clean room, and a delicious meal (really every meal was soooo delicious!). Saman helped me organise a tour in the rainforest and it has been amazing l. Also the view of the room is very nice, you really are in the nature. This place was beyond my expectations and everything was perfect 👌👌👌

Everything was nice. The location is incredible itself, pure nature. The view from our room was amazing and sounds around too. From restaurant you need to test sri lankian style food for sure, it is homemade and delicious)) We use hotel’s services for guiding to the forest and it was great.

If you are looking for a quiet homestay in the middle of nature very close to a river and two of the forest reserve entrances, please choose Vini Villa. Being a solo traveller, I really appreciated Vini's and his family's friendliness and hospitality. They will always make sure to cater to their guests' every needs. Food was plentiful and delicious. Vini, the owner, is also very knowledgeable about the forest and animals that live around his home village and will be happy to show you around the rain forest and its many wonders if you wish so. I really enjoyed my time at Vini Villa's for 10 days and the many hikes I went on in the forest and around the village. I wish I could have stayed longer. It was hard to say bye to Vini and his lovely family.

It is a perfect location very close to the entrance gate of the rainforest. The rooms have terraces with a stunning view to the mountains. We were very warmly welcomed by all the members of the family running the lodge. "Mama", cooked us delicious food. Her husband, took care of all we might need. One of sons, guided us inside the rainforest, providing the specific information in a profesional way. And the pool is a real hidden gem inside the propriety. All in all we enjoyed very much our staying in this marvelous place. Definitely, it is an idilic place just close to the rainforest, recommended for the nature lovers.

We found this place by accident and it was one of the best travel experiences we ever had. This is not only an accommodation, it’s a magical place. Be prepared for Pachamama, Mother Nature at its best and Sanjey, host would be an understatement, he is the king of the jungle. This man made our stay an unforgettable experience. Natural Mystic is without question an amazing spot but through Sanjey the place becomes what it is! Accompanied by a lovely family who make the best authentic healthy food you find in Sri Lanka and let us feel not like guest but friends <3 This is Hotel California, you can never leave, a piece of your heart will stay there forever. I had such a lovely stay! The family are so sweet and welcoming. I was sick for some of the stay and they made me a herbal tea to help. The food is amazing and the place was clean too. The garden is beautiful and there is a seated area next to the room where you can watch the birds and monkeys. Lots of frogs and squirrels too. Plus the surrounding area is amazing and the house is located near rice paddies and a river with waterfalls. Gihan took me on a guided tour to the rainforest and was so knowledgeable about the rainforest and its wildlife. It was so nice to meet some other guides and see people so dedicated to wildlife and conservation. Overall such a lovely stay and I learnt a lot! Thanks so much!!

We really enjoyed our short time in the rainforest. The house is sorrounded by ricefields and you can just sit and watch the birds all day. We went on a rainforest walk with Thisarn, which was really great and enjoyed the rest of our time relaxing in the nature. The food we got served was delicious, we fell even more in love with Sri Lankan cuisine. Thisarn also organized a driver for us to get us to our next location, which was really helpful! Thank you for everything!

Excellent location with Sinharaja Rain Forest literally on the doorstep and ideal for trekking. Breakfast and dinners good. Our car and driver could not get to the location but staff from Sinharaja Forest Edge sent a courtesy 4 x 4 to collect us to take us approximately 2km off road to the property which was great.

An absolute gem and one of the very best places we stayed. Amazing location, very clean and comfortable, lovely host family and lots of extra’s including a stocked mini bar. If you are visiting Sinharaja then this is the perfect accommodation. Our hosts arranged our hike, (which was quite challenging) with a guide and a picnic. Our driver found accommodation very nearby.

Wonderful nice stay. Front of the river.. See lot of birds in location.rooms very clean and conformable. Host very kind and helpful. Home made foods was delicious. Hotel organised rainforest tour excellent. Good price tour charges. We love nice family. Come back your stay next time. Highly recommend.

Central location next to the rainforest. An oasis of calm with a beautiful view over the river, a great for bird watching. Comfortable and spacious bedroom which has glass casing - you feel in the jungle. A good sized modern bathroom with hot water and good towels. Very clean all round. Saman and his family were fabulous hosts, warm and welcoming, cooking delicious dinners and breakfasts. Great value for money. A magical experience.

Location. It is next to Sinharaja forest and Pitabeddarance entrance is just 20m away. It was ideal if someone is trying to hike Sinharaja.

This place is in a great location right on the edge of the park, however, the owner/manager of this place, along with the cleanliness of the bedding and the construction of the budget accommodation, really lets it down.
