This hotel absolutely amazed us and truly stands out from the offerings in Sri Lanka. It seamlessly combines modern design with a touch of traditional Sri Lankan culture. Such a beautiful place to stay! Quiet and surrounded by forest. Right at the edge of the lake. Just be advised, the hostel is about 2+km from the town and the beach. The owner is super friendly. He really goes out of his way to make guests feel welcome. Free drinking water to refill your bottles. Bicycles to borrow to go into town. Lots of great small additions that make this place really special.

This is the hotel we liked the most during our stay in Sri Lanka. It’s situated next to the lagoon. The room is spacious, bed comfortable, delicious breakfast & very kind and friendly staff. The river safari is also agréable, we’ve seen different animals. If we come back to Sri Lanka, here is the place we want to stay again.

The owners are very friendly. In the shared fridge we had stored a good supply of water for cooking, but another guest took all of it. The owner kindly brought us new water, which we really appreciated. The rooms are very clean and beautifully decorated! The surroundings are lovely as well. We originally booked for one night but extended to three because we felt so comfortable and at home here. There is also a kitchen on the upper terrace with a wonderful view where you can cook your meals.
