your room is its own out building with a lovely big bed and en-suite. All toiletries are provided in the bathroom, and you have a lovely terrace outside with sun loungers to enjoy the peace and quite. the staff are amazing and do everything they can for you. they provided us with taxi service by collecting us from Ella, and then dropping us to Hikkaduwa after the safari day for very good rates. the safari was amazing, and we saw all the animals possible in Yala including Sloth bears and Leopards. 10/10 would recommend

I had the pleasure of staying at Farm Villa Resort in Katharagama for two nights, and it was a wonderful and memorable experience from start to finish! 🌿 From the moment we arrived, the welcome was warm and heartfelt. The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything. Special mention to the front office team – truly a gem in hospitality! The room was spacious, the bathroom was very big, and the overall comfort . The clean and inviting swimming pool was perfect for cooling off and relaxing in the serene atmosphere. What makes Farm Villa Resort truly special is its beautiful location surrounded by nature. The resort is set amidst lush paddy fields, and there's a charming little lake flowing through the property, creating a peaceful, scenic environment ideal for rest and reflection. I enjoyed walking through the paddy fields, listening to the birds in the mornings, and even got to pick fresh fruits from the garden! 🍌🌾 It's also conveniently located – just a short walk to the sacred Kirivehera and Katharagama Dewalaya, making it perfect for both pilgrims and nature lovers.One of the biggest highlights was the full-day Yala Safari arranged by the hotel – an absolutely amazing adventure! 🐘🦁 We saw incredible wildlife, and everything was perfectly organized with a knowledgeable guide.The food was another standout. The traditional Sri Lankan dinner was flavorful and authentic, clearly made with care and love. The breakfast offered plenty of variety, and every meal was beautifully presented. Gabriel and Sanjana were the most amazing hosts. They were so welcoming to us and helped us with every aspect of our trip. The food was delicious and plentiful and they were a wealth of local information and knowledge. I would highly recommend this as an amazing place to stay.

The Boundary Yala is located almost right outside the national park which is great for driving out in the morning. Kapila and Nirosha, the couple owning the place, go out of their way to make the possible impossible. As I arrived late, we were in regular contact and they waited up for me. The rooms are basic, but have a great value for money. In addition, Nirosha, is cooking fresh local Sri Lankan food every night. It was super delicious. Just be aware that they charge extra for the meal. I booked the safari into Yala park through them and Kapila joined as our tour guide. He is really knowledgeable and passionate about nature, with a special fascination for birds. I also appreciated that I could store my luggage there during the day as I continued my journey in the evening. The couple even was so friendly and followed up that I made it save and sound to my next location.

Super clean room and comfy bed. Greeted with complementary tea and coffee with biscuits. They organised the safari for us for the half day morning. We added the bbq option for dinner (highly recommend) and was taken to a very nice place about 100 metres from the property it was a romantic candle lit setting in the jungle. I would stay again!

Very friendly and helpful staff, good food in the restaurant, rooms were very clean. Perfect location to go on a safari in Yala. The hotel also organised a Safari for us. Prasad was the best guide and was so knowledgeable! He told us all about the wildlife in the park and did everything he could to make sure we get to see a Leopard! It was a great experience in the Lodge and on The safari with Prasad!

We arrived late, the staff was very welcoming, although the restaurant was closed, they still made dinner for us without hesitation and made our stay comfortable. The location was ideal for our "Safari" tour pick up.

It’s an excellent location bordering the park in a wilderness setting. Very clean accommodation. Basic but great food. We did a well organised evening safari through them and saw a lot of animals. Overall , excellent value for money property , perhaps the best “value” property we have experienced in Sri Lanka.
