A Hidden Paradise in Tamarin Falls – Unforgettable Experience! Our stay at this breathtaking spot in Tamarin Falls, Mauritius, was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the heart of nature, the accommodation offered stunning panoramic views of the waterfalls – waking up to the sound of cascading water and birdsong was like living in a dream. The accommodation itself was unique and beautifully designed, blending comfort and natural charm. Every corner reflected thoughtful touches and care. Whether we were relaxing on the terrace, enjoying the view from laying in the bed or the stunning terrace to exploring the nearby trails and waterfalls, every moment felt serene and special. The hosts Prakash and Anuja were absolutely wonderful – warm, welcoming, and attentive to every detail. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home and ensure our stay was perfect from start to finish. Prakash was able to offer so much advice on great activities to do in and around Mauritius. If you love adventure beyond the beaches, Prakash also owns Green Discovery. He took us for a trek to the falls, he is a very experienced guide and made us feel safe at all times. He also brings along delicious authentic Mauritian treats which his wife Anuja made for our trek. We loved the trek so much, We ended up climbing Le Morne in the South with Prakash, both a must visit! This was truly a unique experience – a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle, surrounded by untouched beauty and peaceful energy. If you’re looking to reconnect with nature while enjoying top-notch hospitality, this is the place to be. The beaches of Mauritius are beautiful, however visiting inland magical areas like Tamarin falls brings truly brought all the islands elements together. Highly recommend – we’ll definitely be coming back!

I selected Ferney as it was the closest hotel available to the airport and the nature reserve looked beautiful. I was unfortunately only able to stay for one night and arrived very late so was not able to do any of the walks or activities although the looked very nice. Ferney was helpful in arranging a driver to collect me from the reception in a 4x4 to take me to the lodge at 9:30pm as my flight came in late. They served me the full dinner and spared no details which was well received. Dinner was smoked marlin starter, amazing venison steak with mashed potatoes, veg and salad with brownie and coconut ice-cream. The bed was very comfortable, air conditioning appreciated, and there was absolute silence because of the remote nature of the property. Breakfast had a lovely spread of fresh fruit, yogurt, cold meats, cheese, jams and toast. You get an individual basket of two freshly baked croissants and pain au chocolate. Eggs of your choice were made to order. In my tiny time there, without venturing at all, I saw manycbirds, a rabbit and a mongoose. All staff were very pleasant, friendly, and went the extra mile. It is not the typical Mauritian beach holiday but a nevertheless wonderful, nature-filled experience.
