I loved everything about my stay here! All the staff and the owners are the sweetest and most amazing people! The bungalows are directly next to the ocean and the view from the restaurant is just amazing! The bungalows are clean, big and the bed is very comfortable! I will definitely come back!!

The beautiful view from the restaurant/deck, great location: a short walk to Iboih beach, cafes and shops but very quiet and peaceful, incredible snorkelling straight off the hotel jetty and the best breakfast in Sumatra! You can hire a kayak to paddle over to Rubiah or along the coast for a change of scene, we also really enjoyed the dolphin boat trip. The rooms are very basic but they are clean and you have your own porch and Saliza, her husband and the rest of the team are amazing - so welcoming and helpful we were very sad to say goodbye - we hope to go back!

The entire resort is beautifully manicured with fruit trees and flowers everywhere. Everything here is done with intention and love. The staff take great pride in their work. Aceh Heritage Village: Right when you walk in, you'll see two beautifully restored historic Acehnese houses featuring hand carved and painted decorations. This is totally unique on the island, and it's a must-see. Sometimes there are events there, so check with the resort to see about the schedule. The restaurant: The restaurant is stunning with an inviting porch that reveals the ocean and the lush landscape. The food is delightful with a mix of Indonesian and Western options. I am gluten free with a sensitive stomach. The restaurant always accommodates my dietary restrictions, and I always feel good after I eat there! If you will be staying awhile, you can even bring your own gluten free flour, and they will prepare something special for you. I love the ayam tangkap (an Acehnese specialty that you can't find many places on the island) and tom yum. The rooms: Every bungalow is done in the traditional Acehnese style with wooden carved decorations. My bungalow had a porch with a hammock which was the perfect place to relax while watching the ocean and listening to the sounds of nature. The bed was comfortable. The shower had hot water and it was easy to control the temperature, which cannot be said of many showers on the island. There was also a fridge and water dispenser in the room including hot water and china cups. The spa: I have had some of the best massages of my life at the spa here. My favorite is the Javanese. Masseuses are expertly trained and accommodating with any issues you may have. Friends of mine have had waxing done with excellent results. The beach: Great for lounging and a gentle swim.

The view, though, is priceless. Please consider staying here if you’re looking for peace and tranquility, but if you prefer luxury, opt for a 5-star hotel instead.

The bungalows are stunning, you can snorkel right off the beach, Sandy was wonderful and set us up with a very new & affordable scooter for our time there. We extended a night and were still not ready to leave at the end of our stay. Soooo relaxing.

We loved it so much we stayed for 5 extra days! You cannot beat this location. The snorkeling just in front of the bungalows is some of the best on the island. The rooms are simple and yes ours didn’t have a sink but it didn’t really phase us. The owners are lovely and very helpful.
